History Maker Global Conference (Palembang) 26th - 28th October 2011

There is never a year like 2011. It is the worst of times and the best of times. From political scandals to brutal killings and earthquakes to revolutions, the shattering headlines just keep coming this year. Yet it is also the kairos time in God’s kingdom as His divine heavenly invasion is permeating here on earth. This year’s conference was one of the most incredible, inconceivable and impeccable! God is challenging his people to go to a realm that is exceedingly mind blowing and beyond any scientific explanations. Miracles can be mundane and anyone can raise the dead! It’s for every believer!!

God’s grace and favor was evident as granted permission to hold a rally convoy on the eve of the conference, declaring His kingdom and Lordship over the city of Palembang. With much excitement the church and the conference delegates gathered along the streets of Palembang holding up flags and banners marching, dancing and prayer walking along the main street of Palembang. Countless people looked on as the senior traffic police officer escorted the convoy of motorcycles and cars through the city streets. It was such a glorious way to lift up and declare the wonderful name of Jesus!

It was an honor and privileged to have Pastor David Hogan as one of our conference main speaker. It was a divine set up for us to connect with this radical and extreme faith man of God in this hour. David Hogan has been serving the Lord as a missionary to Mexico for the last 30 years and is the founder of Freedom Ministries (1981), a ministry that has seen an explosion of God's power. The over 1000 churches of Freedom Ministries have seen miracles of every kind, with every part of the human body either healed or recreated and have seen over 500 people raised from the dead! God has since allowed David Hogan to be present on 28 different occasions to date where people of all backgrounds have been raised from the dead!!

This year we started the conference with 5.30am early prayer meeting. Steve Robert shared “have faith in God”. Truly with God all things are possible.

At the end of prayer, Dr. Richard strongly encouraged us to seek God fervently and be desperately violent for His tangible presence in the next few days. We will only have ourselves to blame if we get nothing out of this conference especially when we have one of the most cutting edge minister of all time speaking in the conference. We need to encounter God’s glory! Show us your glory or we die! The presence of God is a must for the new move of God that is coming.

We were all thrown off our seats, with our eyes and mouth wide opened as David Hogan shared in the first session. He has been working with the Indians from 28 different tribes in Mexico. This has been a long and hard process, pioneering a work in a place that has never had a Gospel witness. Fighting the powers of the devil along with witchcraft, idolatry and spirit worship takes the power of the Holy Ghost. David decided to go after God for His power to see the miraculous, to see "signs following" instead of only religious hypocrisy. He began to seek God to raise the dead. After four years of intense prayer and fasting he saw the first person receive life after having died, this miracle by the power of prayer to God. 3 of his pastors have just been murdered before he came to the conference. He was stoned, beaten many times and left in the jungle to die on three occasions, been to prison over 20 times and have been gunshot a few times. Yet he said that God surrounds him with a wall of fire (Zech 2:1-4), and discouragement is not for him!! Shouting “Holy Ghost” and “Fire of the Gospel” is uniquely Hogan and then he will chuckle to himself and screeching “woweeeeeee.” Prayer and fasting is a norm in his life. Because the two things that move Heaven are prayer and fasting. If you can submit your soul in prayer, and your body in fasting, God hears you. He gave such respect and reverence to the Holy Ghost. Many people’s faith was challenged and hearts were stirred. If you can see the invisible, you can do the impossible! The eyes of our spiritual understanding began to open. He continued to preach this unmoving Gospel that radically changes the way Christians think about the possibilities of God for their lives and the lives of those around them. During ministry time, there was such a presence and fire of God like we have never encountered before!! The conference program was altered because the divine has taken over the plans and program of men! Way to go Holy Spirit! Awesome!

In the first afternoon session, we had Pastor Rob DeLuca who is the founder of His Way Church International, Auckland New Zealand. Recently he planted a new church in Orange County California. He expounded on Matthew 6:9-16. God’s will is for earth to experience heaven. Everything of heaven can be ours! Only violent men will take it by force and hungry men will pursue it! We need to be fearless. He also shared about his most recent trip to Africa. God “showed up” in every meeting. Although the people had to walk through the night in the mud, they were desperate for the touch and move of God. Nothing could deter them from getting their breakthrough; they were “violent” men laying hold of the kingdom. Many were healed of deaf ears and set free from demonic oppression. While he was speaking, then suddenly, the long awaited manifestation happened!! Gold dust began to appear from nowhere! It appeared on the stage! It appeared on the floor. It appeared on the chairs! It appeared on the forehead and arms of some people! The presence of angels was so strong! We were flabbergasted! Right at the end, we had such a powerful time of ministry. Ps Rob scooped up a ball of fire from the river of fire that is around his feet and began to throw it at the people. All who were “hit” by the ball of fire, all went under the power of God! God totally rocked the house!

Revelational preaching is the “new” way to preach; preached not from a well humanly crafted sermon but a direct rhema from God. It is loud. It is bold and it is strong. Ps Rob pounded the first night session with only 2 thoughts which God gave him; “Souls, souls, souls” and “Holy, holy, holy”. Those who are hungry are broken and yielded individuals. To be broken is to be well trained liken that of a young horse whose will is broken and is useful to the master. Ps Rob challenged us not to be like a donkey that needs a whip due to its stubborn nature, and to quit fighting the will of God in our lives. The offering that is consumed by fire is laid at the altar as a living sacrifice. Once again, every single one went to the altar to surrender their hearts. That night there were many unusual deliverances and healing took place. Wave after wave of God’s glory!!

Second morning at 5.30am prayer meeting, Ps Anil Alexander shared on “Be Faithful”. The morning prayer was absolutely electrifying, so different from any other year. Every morning Ps Robert Lie who played the guitar, together with the keyboardist will usher in the Holy Spirit. Many were on their knees, wailing and crying out to God for revival. On the second morning session Ps Rob shared from Luke 17:21-22. Indeed the kingdom of God is within us. God is looking for radical and extreme people who refuse to conform to society but to submit to the culture of the kingdom.

In the afternoon, Ps David Hogan talked about the wall of fire with the glory within (Zech 2:5). God has filled us with his spirit. We can make a difference. We cannot allow the physical senses to lead us. It does not matter what we see, it does not matter what we hear, it matters what God says!! He did not skip a beat as he narrated rotting corpses and bodies in other states of mortification routinely raised back to life. Hogan claimed that thousands of people have been healed in his ministry and that “every part of the human body healed or recreated.” Hogan went on with more outlandish stories. The stories go on and on. They include the raising of two dead sisters covered with lime and rotting for three days laid in an open grave; both of them shot right up and sat there when they were commanded to come back to life! What caused our spirit to burst with awe and wonder was what the girls said in the interview after being raised from the dead. They said they saw Jesus. All Jesus said to them was, “Te quiero” which means in Spanish “I love you”! Unbelievable! This got the crowd wild, crying with tears of joy, praising and shouting glory to God in the highest! Our God is an awesome God! Amen!

Zech 2:5, was the opening verse for the second night - again. Ps David Hogan preached on the power of the gospel. He said the gospel is simple but men complicate it with rules and regulations. We need to stretch our faith and extend our tent. He shared about the miracles that took place using handkerchiefs; how someone came out of a coma after the handkerchief was laid on his head in an intensive care unit. To God it is more than a handkerchief. We were asked to bring towels, shoes, t-shirts, scarf, or anything the next day so that he can lay hands on the items. Ps Hogan just plowed on with one story after another. In another village of the Aztecs he said he encountered a smelly, rotting leper with no nose, ears, fingers or toes. Ps Hogan said: “It was a human man with leprosy”. Then Hogan prayed for him, cleaned him and the man received Jesus as his personal savior. For some reason Hogan left the village with the job unfinished but returned a few weeks later to find “a nice looking fella - pretty.” He resumed the story, telling us he grabbed the man’s 2-week-old nose and the two brand new ears, saying that God had created new fingers and toes and new skin. The man was totally healed of his leprosy! The power of the gospel! The presence of God was manifested in so many different powerful and extra ordinary ways in the conference. There was a woman whose arm was twisted backward, was hit by the power of God and her arm was restored. She received Jesus as her personal Savior and was baptized in the Holy Spirit immediately! All in one night! There was another woman who had 8 demons cast out of her and she too received Jesus that night! Hallelujah!

The last prayer morning prayer was led by Ps David Park. He encouraged all of us to be a true and full blooded history maker; to make a difference for God in our time and generation. Ps Rob began the morning session by telling us that he smell something peculiar in the air, right at the front of the stage. It’s the smell of roses! It’s the rose of Sharon; Jesus! He came to the meeting that morning! Ps Rob spoke on hypocrisy from Matt 23:1-12. We have to please God and not men. It is alright to offend someone’s mind to get into his heart! The leaders in the church must lead by example in everything; being an example in evangelism, being an example in prayer meeting etc. It is not the title but the task that is important in the sight of God.

The third afternoon started with every one of us placing our items on stage to be prayed by Ps Hogan. There were news shoes, scarf, towels, cans of olive oil, tissues paper, bottled drinks etc brought by the people. And we were told to turn to Zech 2:1-5 again! Ps Hogan said that when we let God be the fire, even our life stock will be blessed. And whatever little we may have, it can feed many when we put it into the Master’s hand. He narrated he got a piece of land miraculously, totally paid by someone whom he did not know. The land is big but barren and he spoke to the beans to be fruitful and grow. And it did! He also commanded the sickly flock of cows to be healthy and it produces the best beef in that region! Once they were in a village, a big campaign with several thousand people in Las Placetas, and they ran out of food. The (Indian) brothers came and got him, “What are we going to do, we have to feed these masses of people? We don’t have enough food. More people came than we thought.” He said, “Come here!” They gathered around those old copper pots. And all those animals that had given their lives for the gospel were in those pots. And they began to pray over those pots, and over those beans, and over that rice, and over those stacks of tortillas, and over those buckets of coffee that were there. And they began feeding the people, and when they got through feeding those 3000 to 4000 people, however many there was all the food that they fed, when they went back to the pots the food was still in the pots! This is totally wild!

It was the third and final night. David Hogan would start his day very early (between 4-5am) to pray and sometimes would only get to bed around 11pm. One night when he was about to go to sleep, as he was putting on his ear plugs, there was a knock on his door. His presence was urgently required. A dead boy was brought to him by the villager. He said, he was not in the mood, was so tired as it was a long day for him, much less in the right frame of mind to raise the dead! Besides that, he was clueless as to what to do. However when his touch light shone the boy’s head, moving slowly from his forehead to his eyes, suddenly he gasped for air and came back to life! “How far will you go for the gospel?” asked David Hogan. The minute you make a stand for God, there are consequences coming from the world (Dan 3:3-14). Yet the fire of the devil will not be able to hurt us as we walk in righteousness. God is our protection, our present help in trouble. We had an awesome ministry time! A heavenly fire is ignited in our soul; come what may, we will go through it! Although no light sticks were used to celebrate and conclude the final night of the conference, we become the blazing torch, ready to dispel the works of darkness and to bring the hope of the gospel wherever we go! No return, no regret and no retreat!

3 things we can bring home with us from the conference said Dr. Richard. One is in modern churches we have so many sacred cows! We are born original, don’t die a copy! We have the original, the real deal; we don’t have to have duplicates. Secondly if we want to go higher in God, we need to go lower. There is no room for self, no room for flesh, only room for the Holy Spirit. And lastly with men it is impossible, but with God ALL things are POSSIBLE!

Chapter 29 of Acts of the Apostles is being written. We are living in perilous times. We are living in the most significant time of human history. Let us live dangerously for God. Charles Thomas Studds said “Some want to live within the sound of church or chapel bell; I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell.” Embrace the attitude of C T Studds and David Hogan, “Don't Care a Damn" (DCD) to worldly things but as you go, preach this message: “The kingdom of heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matt 10:7-8) We can have glory encounter everyday!

HM OSAKA: 2nd-4th August 2011

Several months have passed since a massive earthquake and tsunami struck the northeast region of Japan. According to statistics by Japan’s National Police Agency, 15,698 lives were lost, 5,717 people were injured and 4,666 are still missing. Furthermore, over 125,000 buildings were damaged or destroyed. The overall cost of the devastation could exceed US$300 billion, making it the most expensive natural disaster on record.

The numbers are telling of a nation and its people stricken by tremendous loss and despair. In a country traditionally known to be apathetic to the gospel, we now have an unprecedented opportunity to bring the message of eternal hope to many who may never before have felt the need for a Savior. We are convinced the Lord brought History Maker to Osaka for such a time as this!

The missions team comprised of both youth and adults from Hong Kong and Singapore, including a one-year-old baby who is part of a 27-member entourage led by Pastors Amos and Teresa Tsang. The size of their team is a third of their church congregation! The Hong Kong team’s passion for missions is truly commendable, because prior to this trip they were in Taipei for the History Maker Conference. With much excitement Singapore’s 4-member team led by Hannah Ho arrived in Osaka on the Monday night, a day earlier than the Hong Kong team, and all ready to win the city for Jesus.

On Tuesday morning, the team started their day at 6:30am with prayer walk along the streets of Doutonburi (a popular tourist destination lined with shops and restaurants), taking authority over the land for Christ! Again in the evening they covered the same neighborhood in prayer – person by person, business by business, building by building – taking spiritual ownership of the city and laying claim every place they tread upon for the Lord (Joshua 1:3).

Early the next morning at 6:30am the team went to Namba-Naka to pray and intercede for the community. It is only through prayer that the ground can be broken up for the seed of the gospel to be planted and produce a harvest. The team prayed against the powers of darkness, disarming principalities and pulling down strongholds over the city. With eyes of faith they began to release the Kingdom of God, declaring that Osaka belongs to Jesus!

In the afternoon the team was back at the Doutonburi Bridge – this time to do street outreach. A group sang praises unto the Lord as they played musical instruments. A few others danced in worship using flags. Another group performed a skit entitled “The Kingdom.” The rest went around handing out gospel tracts to curious bystanders that had gathered around, sharing the gospel despite the language barrier. Every person was involved in some way or the other – and they did what was assigned to them with remarkable passion and boldness. Even under the blazing hot sun the team displayed a spirit of excellence and was utterly focused on their job without a word of complain.

Later that evening the team did more street evangelism at Namba-Naka, just before the night meeting at Hope Chapel. The pastor in-charge is an American who has been ministering in Japan for many years now and speaks fluent Japanese. With just a guitar for praise and worship, the group had an awesome time in the Lord’s presence, even though it was just a small group meeting. Pastor Amos shared a word of exhortation that evening. The Spirit of God moved and touched lives, bringing salvation to a middle-aged Japanese man, and ministered strength and encouragement to the others. They had been praying for the Lord to send people to encourage them, and their prayer was answered by the team’s ministry. Heaven rejoiced that day when that one soul was saved!

On the final day, the team got up early for prayer walk at the American Village and Tsutenkaku areas. During prayer walking, they learned how to “watch and pray,” to become more aware of what is going on in the spiritual realm. As they tuned in to God and listened, they began to be guided by the Spirit and received insights on how they to pray. They were better able to understand God’s purposes and plans for the city and pray accordingly. It is always exciting to be led by the Spirit – and we can expect Him to reveal things to our hearts!

Around lunchtime members were sent out two by two at the American Village, to pray over the area, and then to do street evangelism. Later in the evening, the team proceeded to Tsutenkaku for more street outreach. Members were sent off in groups of four to do prayer walk around the area. Thereafter, the team came back together for the music, dance and skit performances. Praise God that everything went well that day!

There are many testimonies of God’s goodness, faithfulness and provision for this missions trip. Every person stepped out in faith and received a personal breakthrough. For some the Lord provided the finances for them to go on this trip. Others, despite their sickness, were able to serve and minister and were strengthened in the process. There are mothers in the team who sacrificed their time to go on this trip, and God gave them the assurance that He will take care of their families. In every situation our mighty God is more than able to meet every need.

This is the beginning of a new church plant that History Maker is starting in Osaka. The Hong Kong team played a significant role in laying the groundwork of prayer and sowing the seeds of the gospel. We are thankful for their support and their labor for the Kingdom, and pray that many more teams from different nations will capture that similar heart for missions and “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15). God will surely fulfill the good work He has started in Osaka and bring it to completion. More work has to be done – the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church!

HM TAIWAN 29th – 31st July

The theme for HM Taiwan 2011 was WORSHIP EXPLOSION. This was the first time we had the biggest team ever; 28 people from Hong Kong led by Ps Amos Tsang and Ps Teresa, Dr Richard William and Ps Kelly from Singapore, Apostle Nakama Naomi and Eddy Thayer from Japan formed the team to Taiwan.

The HM Taiwan started with a “bang” on Friday night! It was far from a normal prayer meeting! The hall was filled with unbelievable joy and faith. In accordance to the measure of faith the people had, God moved! We had an awesome time of body ministry and stood in the gap for the nations of Japan and Taiwan calling for a much needed revival; desperate for a divine intervention for such a time as this. Many people were so thrilled with what God is about to do in this hour of history, the atmosphere was charged with great faith and expectancy. It felt almost like it was the finale night!

Apostle Nakama Naomi, HM Director for Japan started the next morning’s meeting with a radical and “dangerous” notion.

Traditional, religious church verses the unconventional and “structure free” church. The latter is not plan, initiated and orchestrated by men but totally directed by the Holy Spirit!

Japan has gone through “hell”. She has been bombarded with countless devastation: earthquakes, the strongest in Japan's recorded history, tsunami and radiation leak. Although there is a shaking in the natural, a parallel shaking is taking place in the spiritual realm. The aftermath has left the Japanese with no hope or faith in the government and is so ready and open to the gospel, the good news! The face of evangelism has changed. Traditional evangelism is primarily an invitation to come into church through programs. However now we bring the church to them! This is the hallmark of a true history maker; we don’t wait for a revival, we start a revival! Hallelujah!

She shared about an ex-heavy metal artist who lived in a card box, sold his soul to Jesus, and how he got saved. Now he is a radical evangelist used by God to reach out to the “dangerous” gangs in the streets of Japan. Once he pulled out the driver off the car and locked the car so he could preached to the tattooed gang members for 30 minutes! The once “peaceful” and “safe” environment became “dangerous” as more gang members are found in the church. Frictions, fears and tensions rise as many of her church members feel threatened and uncomfortable. She said it interesting to see how they squirm in their religious bubble. Again she reminded us that the church should never forget her missions and mandate. It was amazing to hear testimonies after testimonies of what God is doing in Japan! Indeed Japan shall be saved!

In the afternoon session Ps Kelly spoke on The Abiding Presence of God. We need to move from a position of visitation from God to manifestation of God and ultimately a habitation for God. Worship was never about us to begin with. We are here to please Him! 2 things will bring the presence of God; one is through prayer and the other is through praise and worship. The spirit world is

just as real as the material world. Angelic visitation, falling of gold dust and precious stones should be regular manifestations in our services! The need to have the Spirit of God moving in our worship has never been greater!

Next, the Hong Kong team presented a 20 minute drama on “The Kingdom”, an awesome classic evangelistic drama depicting the love of our heavenly Father. Ps Amos shared on how worship can bring down the presence of God. When Solomon dedicated the temple, the Glory of God fell; when Elijah called upon God at Mount Carmel, the fire of God fell and lastly when King Nebuchadnezzar worshipped God by putting his singers at the front of the battle, God came and wiped out his enemies! There is power in praise and worship.

There was a tremendous hunger for the authentic move of the Spirit. Jim Cymbala, pastor of The Brooklyn Tabernacle once said, “I despaired at the thought that my life might slip by without seeing God show himself mightily on our behalf, always preaching about the power of the Word and the Spirit, but never get to see it”. This is the time for heavenly invasion of fresh wind and fresh fire into our dead and boring worship experience! Something must change!

Exuberant worship set the tone of the night meeting. There was such a release of heavenly joy in the atmosphere. It was unbelievable! Many were laughing and dancing in God’s presence! They were so “high”. We couldn’t stop singing the same one word chorus for over 20 minutes! Next we had Rapper E, Eddy to do a rap entitled “Show and Tell” which totally rocks the house. Church must be the most “happening” place for all young people!

What is the goal of worship? The goal of worship is to encounter Jesus! Dr Richard, the founder of History Maker International expounded on what constitute a true worship from Genesis

22. We need to break out from the traditional 5 songs, 1 announcement, 1 preaching, collect offering, benediction and then refreshment! Today’s service can become so predictable that we leave no room for the Spirit to have liberty to do anything. God wants to renew His people; to call us back from spiritual dead ends, apathy and lukewarm religion. We have to move away from

the cheap substitutes that are so popular today. True worship will cost us something, perhaps to sacrifice beyond our imagination just like Abraham ready to give up his son. It goes beyond feelings and true worship requires the flesh todie. Inevitably true worship will bring manifestations and revelation.

As the power of God hit the place, cries of repentance filled the room. Many were screaming as conviction fell and many were shaking and quaking in the presence of God! Scores of people were set free and filled with His power! It was phenomenal! To God be the glory!

Another unique event was the ever first ordination service to be conducted during the HM Conference. 2 elders were ordained in the first service while 4 preachers and 4 pastors were ordained into the ministry in the second service. It is a milestone for the Church in the River of God. Indeed God is raising up more workers to reap the end time harvest! Leadership development is a life time journey not a brief trip. It is men who appoint but God who ordains.

For the morning service, Ps Amos shared a simple yet a great reminder to all of us on what God has impressed upon his heart for the congregation. He exalted us with four things: to be fruitful, to be faithful, to be peaceful and lastly to be joyful in our lives.

“What makes areal leader?” Dr Richard reiterated the call of History Maker and that is we are called to be the shadow! We only have one mandate and that is to make Him known! The main text is taken from Matthew 12:16-21. “From today, you cannot resign anymore!” a stern and uncompromised message to all those candidates who were ordained. Someone said, “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power”. Leadership has never been about title or the gift or the role but its function. The greatest prove of our calling is the deposit of the Holy Spirit. Our assignment is to hang out with our Master; ministry is but an overflow of our love for God. To keep our perspectives in place, Dr Richard ended with a powerful story reminding us not to look for rewards here on earth as we are not “home” yet. Indeed He must increase and we decrease!

In the second service Dr Richard further pounded the responsibilities of a spiritual leader from Ephesians 4:7-12. We are given heavenly spiritual leadership gifts to continue what Jesus has been doing; to kick the “butt” of the enemy! We are sent to build God’s kingdom. Leaders are men and women who are resilient and refuse to take a posture of defense. Expect great things and attempt great things for God! The kingdom of God is a forward moving kingdom who knows no retreat! We must be driven by a passion and purity that brings force and clarity to the grand old gospel, bringing it alive with contemporary vitality and relevance. A new day has dawn! This is the hour for the church to arise!

One of the highlights in the ordination was the various candidates taking time to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to God. Many of them will continue what they are already doing in the ministry but with greater sense of purpose and anointing. They were provoked and were greatly challenged to bring the gospel to the ends of the earth! Beyond all these, a new sense of commission from God and an endowment of power from on high defined the significance of the ordination.

It is without question that in every History Maker Conference, we earnestly yearn for His boundless presence to be manifested in every meeting. After each conference we are catapult to a greater dimension of work of the Holy Spirit. We are more driven than ever, more determined than ever, more desperate than ever to usher in the greatest reformation in the history of Christendom. We believe it will be our finest hour!

HM Guangzhou: 27-29 May 2011

China has prospered. The modern, wealthy cosmopolitan city of Guangzhou is different from the 1980s, old China. In those days, although believers were persecuted, arrested and may even cost their life, because of their uncompromised, unwavering faith in God, their daily miraculous encounter with the living God have put many of us to question our own spiritual experience with God. Many heroes and giants of faith were fashioned in those perilous times. However nothing is farther than the truth in modern China. In China, the modern day believers are bounded by fear and unbelief. The devil has kept them in constant defeat and the vicious cycle of attacks. The tenacity and “violent” spirit of the forefathers were lost. Modernization and prosperity has crippled, paralyzed and shaken much of the believers’ fundamental foundations.

However through the preaching of the living Word by Pastor Richard, encouraging, challenging the saints to rise up and fight, to exercise their authority as a believer and to return to the place of prayer, the spiritual atmosphere of the church and mindset of the Chinese believers were changed. On the first session, Pastor Richard expounded on the authority of a believer. God's promises and resources have already been made available to us. We need to change our confession, our vision and our mindset. We are not CHICKEN but EAGLES! Indeed we operate from a position of victory! The next morning Pastor Richard further planted the seeds of faith from the life of Mephibosheth (2 Sam 9:1-13). The reason why we can have such a boldness and rights to receive His blessings is because of the covenantal relationships we have with God. Pastor Amos Tsang and Sian Loh from Hong Kong shared in the afternoon session.

Faith was rumbling in their spirit and a stirring in their hearts as they listened to the scores and scores of unusual and incredible testimonies from Pastor Richard on the second night. Indeed faith is active and not passive (Heb 11:1; Mark 5:25)! Pastor Richard concluded the final meeting with James 5:15-16. It was ironic for him to teach them how to pray when he first learned from the Chinese leaders how to pray about 23 years ago.

Slowly but surely we saw the transforming power of the Holy Spirit through the teaching of the word. Many of them experience deliverance and healing without the usual laying on of hands by the preacher. The size of the crowd grew larger each day. By the end of the session, the place was packed with hungry and desperate people.

The “giants” have been awakened. The spiritual baton must be passed down to this generation. They will indeed do greater works than their spiritual forefathers!

HM Hong Kong: 25 – 27 May 2011

History Maker Conference started its first conference of the year in Hong Kong. We were expecting God to move in a powerful way in all meetings. This was the first time our partner, Pastor Amos Tsang of Christian Glorify Grace Church organized a youth camp held in Noah’s Ark Resort, Park Island of Hong Kong, a totally different strategy and approach to evangelism compared to last year’s street outreaches (for more details, you may read last year’s post). The group comprised primarily teens from 11-12 years old. We had about 20-25 unchurched youths who have never been to a Christian gathering, never heard of the name Jesus, turned up for the camp. It was wild! Hong Kong is so ready for the end time harvest!

On the first day morning we had serendipity games where the “ice” was broken. In spite of the language barrier, where from time to time we had to use three languages to communicate: English, Mandarin and even Cantonese, we had a blast! Our spirit is kindred even though we may come from different country, culture and background. Truly Church is a living body of Christ, it is never boring! It should be the most happening place in town!

In the afternoon, we had Joseph from Singapore to do the teen’s program. Using various forms of gospel illusions, object lessons, fun games and songs, he shared the good news of Jesus Christ in an uncompromising yet relevant and simple way. In spite of their pagan background, they were very open and participated in all the worship sessions. Although they may not understand the lyrics of the songs, it was amazing to see that they sang from the hearts.

Pastor Kelly spoke on passion – “loving God wholeheartedly and others fervently” in the adult’s meeting. Nothing is ever accomplished without passion. God demands 100% commitment, as He is a jealous God. There was a powerful move of God during prayer ministry and many were touched by the power of the Holy Spirit.

“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?” Luke 9:25. Hong Kong has one of the world’s highest per capita suicide rate; 1200 kill themselves every year! Hong Kong is also the abortion capita city of the world; 1 in every 3 baby is aborted! Materialism is not the answer. Prosperity and ecstatic beauty is not the answer. Education and technology is not the answer. Only Jesus is the solution! Only Jesus can bring true significance and meaning to our lives! The last morning session, Pastor Kelly spoke from Joshua 10, “Never A Day Like Today”. God is raising up an end time army who will know Him and be strong and do great exploits. The unique characteristics of that army are as follows: 1) the greater the fight, the greater the victory! There will never be any victory if we don’t confront our enemies! 2) the mightier the men, the greater the breakthrough. We need to train ourselves to be strong mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. 3) the greater the prayer life, the greater the miracle. We pray, God will fight on our behalf! Never a day like today!

Praise God, we have about 8 boys and 7 girls who gave their lives to Jesus by the end of second day. According to Pastor Amos, although it was costly to organize such a camp in Noah’s Ark Resort, it was well worth it because souls are more important. Nothing is more valuable than a person’s soul. This is where History Maker totally fits in; we have been called to inspire vision and purpose in the next generation. Our passion is to see the end time harvest. Praise God for the results. The real “work” has just started for the camp, to disciple the new converts – the next generation!

HM Sri Lanka (7-9 April)

It is with great joy that I report to you on the success of the 2011 History Maker conference. The vision was to be a catalyst for generational change. Appropriately the theme was SHIFT.

HMI was privileged to sow into the lives of about 160 youth leaders from over 20 churches. The message was about “shifting’’ into being the leaders that God has called them out to be in this generation and season. The conference took place over two week-ends.

Many leaders were touched in a special way with both physical & inner healing. These young leaders were able to realize the importance of their relationships with their senior pastors. This enabled them to put their relationships in right order and strengthen their covenants anew. We had an emphasis on ‘’generational synergy,’’ and the importance and necessity of it to bring about true and lasting transformation of our nation.

The power and presence of God was evident throughout the conference and especially noticed when pastoral leaders released a “father’s blessing” over the young leaders. The charge was to go out and do what God has called them to do, so that this nation will be changed for the purposes of God.

Malachi 4: 5,6 says, “When the hearts of the fathers turn to the sons, and the heart of the sons turn to the fathers, then I will send the spirit of Elijah.” All of us sensed that a new revival is going to be experienced in Sri Lanka. We also felt that this will be ignited by God through the youth of the nation which will spread through the ages over time. We not only believe that it’s time for Sri Lanka to experience revival but also that it will break out in the most unlikeliest of places when God begins to use these leaders he has chosen to usher in this new revival.

Sonship is the one important thing that as young people we need to understand in this walk. I was a drug addict a few years back. Today God has released a creative gift on me where I'm making songs that have Kingdom value and airing it on secular stations. But though all of this, I need to know that if I am trying to prove myself. If I'm becoming an orphan, then I have lost the purpose. Through this gathering, I have learned to use my gifts as I am becoming into and entering into the sonship God is calling me into. In that, I will find grace and power.

History Maker Global Conference 2010

For the first time in many years, the History Maker Global Conference was held outside Singapore, in the city of Penang from November 2^nd to 5^th. The conference revolved around one theme, “Supernatural Manifestations.” Delegates from about 18 countries came together to seek a deeper presence of the Lord and to see His glory manifested in a greater dimension. From the beginning till the end, the Lord moved in ways many have never experienced before. People were touched by the Lord and made a commitment to desire more of His glory and presence!

We were honored to have with us guest speakers Rob DeLuca, the senior pastor at His Way Church (New Zealand), and John Torres, the senior pastor at Lighthouse International Church (USA). Together they brought about a tremendous measure of the presence of God. Joining us at the conference was the Equippers band from Equippers Church (New Zealand), leading the crowd in electrifying praise that brought down the roof, and an awesome time of worship as we enter the heavenly presence of God.

At the very first session, Rob DeLuca set the tone for the entire conference with his opening message that this event should not be just a conference, but an encounter with the Lord. He urged the people to enter this new season; if we did not shift with God, we would hinder His work. As Rob puts it, “Relevance for the cost of presence is rubbish.” God's people must not trade anything for His glory and presence, in other words be man-pleasers. As we drink of the new wine and allow His Spirit to show up, the world around us will be refreshed, sinners repent, lives get changed, the sick are healed and those in bondage will receive freedom!

Later that morning, John Torres preached the Word with much passion, like a sprinter who tore down the tracks. He spoke on the three ways God would speak to His people: seeing, hearing and sensing (Isaiah 21:1-3). God is speaking all the time, and we just need to tune in to His voice. Moving in the Spirit and hearing the voice of the Lord is for everybody. In closing, some were called up to the stage to bring a prophetic exhortation to the congregation.

Our History Maker advisor, Richard Brown III (Japan), spoke that Wednesday evening, exhorting the people of God to be on the cutting edge. God is showing new things to the church and bringing a new dimension of the Spirit. He urged every believer to leave the old wineskin, in order to receive the new wine. Every person will leave the conference with fresh fire to bring back to their churches and nations, hallelujah!

That night was the graduation for the inaugural Class of 2010 of Harvest Bible University. Two students received the Certificate in Ministry, one student received the Diploma in Ministry and seven students received the Associate Degree in Ministry. The various leaders laid hands on the students to release them into the calling and mandate God has for their lives.

The second day of the conference started with a prayer meeting at 5:30am. Our History Maker partner from Taiwan, Aaron Wong, brought an encouraging word to the crowd that gathered. The hall was like a power house, because “one can chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight.” Together we stood in the gap and sought the face of God for a revival in the nations.

That morning Rob DeLuca shared about how God works in atmospheres. If we lack sensitivity we would miss it. Our goal is to understand His ways, what He likes and dislikes. It is not complicated at all – to build an intimate relationship with God to the point where we know Him just as He knows us (Exodus 33). If we know God intimately, we can know what He likes. The church cannot afford to stay in ‘religion’ otherwise the world will not be changed. Let us turn away from religious preferences or man-made doctrines, so that God would reveal Himself in a greater measure!

“O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy” Habakkuk 3:2. In the following session, John Torres shared what the Lord has done before, He can do it again. Wherever we go, signs and wonders ought to follow us. We are touched so that times of refreshing may come (Acts 3:19). And when that happens, a whole region is transformed – that is revival taking place! God has called all of us to bring supernatural revivals and use us to take nations!

Thursday evening was phenomenal because the tangible glory of the Lord came upon the people. We were all soaked in His presence and time sort of stood still. There was no preaching, no laying on of hands and it didn’t matter who was beside us. We were just loving on God and allowing His presence to embrace us like never before. There was a spiritual shift happening that day. There were decisions taking place in hearts that will determine the road they will take. There was a repositioning by the Lord to become “burning ones” so that the world will know and see that He is God!

We began our Friday early in the morning with prayer. Naomi Nakama (Japan) brought to us a powerful exhortation. With hearts united and spirits as one, we prayed for God’s Kingdom to invade the earth – on earth as it is in heaven! “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1).

The morning sessions once again brought a greater surrender of our hearts and will, led by Rob DeLuca. Do we prefer others above ourselves? Do we look to be served? Do we take time out of our schedules to minister to someone? Are we willing to lay down our lives for others? What God desires is for our flesh to be burned, so that God would be seen more in us. Holiness is what the Lord is looking for. He wants a people that would say, “Whatever Your will is, I’ll do!”

On all the afternoons we had workshops on worship leading, song writing and worship team dynamics by the Equippers band, taught mainly by Libby Huirua, Daniel Zeltner and Isaac Graham. At the same time there were other workshops led by Shekhar Kallianpur (India) on the International Youth Festival; Andrew Robertson (New Zealand) on Entrepreneurship and Faith; and Kul Bal Singh (Australia) on Signs and Wonders. Those who attended the workshops were greatly blessed as they learned practical tools that will help them to come to a greater level in the Lord.

The final session on Friday evening saw John Torres conclude with “Re-commissioning Your Mission.” As we re-commission our mission, His mission becomes our mission! We have been anointed to be a blessing to someone else. We need to take the mission of Jesus and make it our own. Pastor Richard William (Singapore) brought a closure to the conference. There was such a fire and passion in the atmosphere that night. Flags of nations were held out and tears flowed as we lift up our voice for the souls in these nations. We knew we were receiving a vision, a call and a mandate that may cost us our lives to see them come to the Lord.

For many the highlight of the conference was the glory and presence of God. It wasn’t about the preacher or the worship team, but God Himself – Him showing up, and all that we want is to stay in that presence forever. This is just a new beginning of a greater dimension of God.

“As it is written:

‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” 1 Cor. 2:9-10.

HM India: 1-3 Oct 2010

In the scorching heat of Mumbai, there was another form of heat evident in the atmosphere, a burning passion for revival...

The groundwork was set by the faithful ministers in India, led by Ps. Shekhar, Ps. Anil, Ps. Ravi, and all their respective teams, who have worked hard to organize and co-ordinate the events that would bring a move of God all across India. We thank them for all their hard work and fervent prayers, which will surely break new ground and bring abundant fruit.

The international ministry team that gathered consisted of fired-up believers from various nations: Sri Lanka, Indonesia (KOKOBA Dance Crew), Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Nagaland. The brothers and sisters from Nagaland showed incredible commitment, as they had to take a 3-day train ride just to come for these meetings.

We started off the first day with the school outreaches, and to cover more ground, we were split into 2 groups: the Sri Lankan and Indonesian teams in 1 group, all the rest in another. Each group visited 2 schools, where there were children and youth ranging from age 6-20. Although they were mission schools, many of them come from non-Christian homes.

The teams ministered to the children through different items like games, dance, skits, sharing of personal testimonies, and sharing of the Word. In the midst of the cheers and laughter, we knew that the Holy Spirit was at work in the hearts of these young lives. In one of the schools, Pastor Kelly Koh shared a short message about the redemptive plan of God, and gave a call to those who would accept Christ into their lives, and around 70 children gave their hearts to Jesus, praise God!!

On Saturday, the much-anticipated International Youth Fellowship was held at St. Andrew’s Auditorium, where a great host of talent attracted a large crowd of over 1000, and there were so many people that long before the festivities kicked off, the auditorium was already full! Hordes of people were unable to enter, and about over 300 people had to stay in the overflow area.

The teams from Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Singapore presented their items during the International segment, with skits, dance, and also a rap song from our very own “hardcore” Rapper E (Eddy).

The jaw-dropping dances by KOKOBA brought the roof down, and the skit by the Sri Lankan team delivered a heartfelt message about the bringing the gospel forth to a lost world.

Then, we were amazed by the different performances put up by the array of talent that shared the stage: from the colourful vibrancy of the Punjabi and Hindi dances, to the pumping adrenaline of the kick-boxing and aerobics exercise team, the showcase of India and Bollywood’s best mesmerized everyone in attendance.

After all the captivating acts, Pastor Shekhar then exhorted the people to look beyond themselves, beyond their own comfort zone, and step out into world missions. He reminded us that India has been a nation that has received much bountiful blessings, starting from one of the pillars of modern world missions, William Carey, who started the Lord’s work in India centuries ago, and now is the time for India to become a nation of givers and harvesters, and be a blessing to others.

Without missing a beat, Pastor Richard William shared on the theme of commitment and love for God, as demonstrated by our actions. He gave many accounts of people who have sacrificed their lives for the sake of the gospel, and the high price they paid for obeying the call. Also, he gave glory to God, testifying of the great things that the Lord has been doing all across the world, and that the power and anointing of God is available to those who step out in faith and believe that He will enable them to accomplish the vision that He places in their hearts. As every individual reflected on his own love for God, and how much we are really willing to give up for Him, Pastor Richard challenged the people to a higher level of commitment in Him. Hundreds responded to the call of mission, willing to go to places they have never been before and do things they have never done before! A new day has dawn for India! She is ready to take the gospel to the ends of the earth!

The night ended with a blast, as India’s No. 1 DJ, DJ Lloyd, took the stage. An established act in Bollywood, this was the first event where DJ Lloyd professed to be a Christian, and even spin praise songs on the turntable. He has even agreed to be part of a monthly event to minister to youths, and surely God will use him and his music to bridge the gap to the youth of this generation. The place was filled with the sound of hot and groovy beats, people young and old jumped, danced, and worshipped together in His presence. As the History Maker anthem was played, it signified a moment that history was truly made, where Jesus birthed a new chapter in His plan for redemption.

On Sunday, we visited Pastor Shekhar's church, New Life Church, in Juhu, and we felt right at home, as everyone worshipped the Lord freely in song and dance, and the congregation made a joyful noise unto the Lord. One of the sisters, Priya, shared a powerful testimony about how her mother recently accepted Christ into her life, and how she is now currently reaching out to a famous actress, and being amazed at the way God is orchestrating His plan of salvation in the lives of the people around her.

Pastor Richard shared a powerful and challenging word, calling the individual to reach India for Jesus. He shared that Abraham’s servant has a very difficult and impossible assignment, but God has divinely guided his every step as the servant prayed and stepped out in faith. There was a time of ministry as the pastors and members of the International team prayed for some of the brothers and sisters, that God will touch them and use them in a greater capacity.

In the evening, the scene shifted back to Navi Mumbai, where the History Maker Youth Rally was held. The international team did their thing, with dance, skits, and an illusion item by "Magic Man" Joseph Cheong. Pastor Dinesh Michel then stirred up the believers with an uncompromised message, and without fail, the night concluded with the light sticks celebration, and an open declaration that God reigns!!

Salvation…revival…answering a higher call…this is just the beginning, and we look forward to greater things that God has in store of the nation of India, as the people continue to seek His face, put their faith in an awesome and mighty God, and step into an arena where victory awaits. Hallelujah!

This is our first-ever History Maker conference held in Jakarta hosted by Pastor Antonius Sitompul and his wife Bona of GBI Taman Meruya. The conference had the theme “Soaking in God’s Love,” however since the beginning of the conference till the end there was such an emphasis on the “Fire of God.” The conference revolved around a tight schedule. It was two full days of power-packed meetings with the Lord moving in tremendous ways and igniting the youth with the Fire of God!

Pastor Robert Lie (Palembang, Indonesia) opened up the conference with a message titled “Unshakable Generation.” He mentioned the importance of pressing in and praying, that this unshakable generation should see what others cannot see and hear what others cannot hear. Many came forward to respond to the call to be a generation that would be different. After which Pastor Naomi Nakama (Okinawa, Japan) continued on the foundation Pastor Robert Lie built and preached on being a generation that lives for God. She stressed on never giving an excuse when walking with God and never regretting any moment in living for Him.

By evening the crowds filled the hall and there was great excitement and expectancy in the air. The History Maker band from Singapore led the young people into exuberance praise and a heartfelt time of worship unto the Lord. Pastor Richard William (Singapore) preached a fiery word to bring the youth to a greater commitment with the Lord. He asked a very challenging question, “Are you walking with God, or is God walking with you.” That evening many youth came forward during the altar call with a desire to have a more intimate relationship with God.

On the second day, Pastor Nakama spoke on the importance of living in the new day that God has given. If we still live in the past we are not able to enter into a new day and a new season. Following after, Pastor Robert spoke on being “Kings and Priests.” The anointing of God was evident in the meetings and many lives were touched by the Lord's presence in that place.

On both days we were blessed by the afternoon workshops taught by Pastor Grace Tay (Singapore), Pastor Dwidjo Saputro (Indonesia), Pastor Abraham Mathew (Singapore), Pastor Willy Yosep (Indonesia), Daniel Tai and Josiah Khoo (Singapore). We see hungry hearts longing for more of God in their lives. Indeed, the Word of God ministered to them and those that hunger and thirst for righteousness were filled to overflowing!

On the Saturday evening finale, we had the guest appearance of Kokoba Crew who danced with all their mighty giving all praise to God. They stirred up the crowd with their energetic hip hop/ break dance moves and touched the hearts of many with another worshipful lyrical dance. Following, Pastor Richard concluded these two days with a word on how God wants to use everybody. It doesn’t matter if you are young or old, that God wants use you for greatness all you need to be is a yielded vessel. During the altar call many of the local youth responded hungering for a new fire to impact their city and nation. With a new mission in their hearts and being stirred up with a new passion, the youth made a decision to pursue after greater things. We believe this is just the beginning of what the Lord is going to do. The fire that was sparked in their midst is going to spread like wild fire...a fire that will burn ever so bright for Jesus!

HM PALEMBANG: 15-17 August 2010

A prophetic standard is rising up in the city of Palembang. Great favor is being released to the Body of Christ that remains faithful. This prophetic standard will be a powerful witness of God’s glory in the city. And the harvest is now!

“Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.” John 4:35 (ESV)

We cannot afford to delay. Cities are ready to respond to the Gospel. We need a release of Christ-like harvesters! The Lord gave a prophetic Word to the city and to the pastors in Palembang. He is going to raise up churches and pastors in the city to become gateways to the supernatural:

“Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle!” Psalm 24:7-8 (ESV)

During the conference, we saw many of the young people touched by the Spirit of God and weeping in His presence. These are the future leaders of the Body of Christ in this nation. There was a clear call on the night meetings that the Lord was releasing a generation of youth to fly higher and see further like eagles:

“You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.” Exodus 19:4 (ESV)

An exciting dimension of ministry of the History Maker partner church in Palembang is their desire to influence their city in righteousness. To be a church in the marketplace—marketplace miracles, marketplace ministry, and marketplace mercy! It is not a big church, yet they have a big faith, better still, A BIG GOD! God has seen them faithful in small things and is now giving them greater responsibilities and opportunities.

One project they are now responsible for is a five-star 14-storey hotel complex, a 5,000-seat sports stadium with an exclusive range of 40 prime retail sites—all interconnected. Amazing! This USD$50 million project is due to open end of next year. We went and prayed over the stadium and grounds. It will provide jobs for over 800 people. Jesus will be proclaimed in this city. He will be exalted! Located in the heart of the city, right near government building and major companies, it will stand as a testimony of what God can do to those who simply depend on His grace and favor.

Ephesians 3:20-21 (ESV)
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

Crowds of people were being fed and cared for by GISI Palembang. This is the History Maker partner church here in Indonesia. Hundreds were fed and clothes being sold at incredibly low prices. Muslims, Buddhists, Catholics or Christian...it does not matter. The church should be about building bridges, not walls. We want to bless the community and the poor in the area. Everyone is so happy! Hallelujah! What an opportunity for the love of Christ to be demonstrated in very practical ways.

The team also marched around with prophetic declarations over this busy shopping mall. A team of some 40 saints (mostly 15-20 year-olds) dressed in white and proclaiming Jesus as Lord and Healer. This is in Indonesia. Sure it is dangerous; sometimes some radical elements may stir things up. There may be a spirit of intimidation, but remember that in the Gospels “the common people heard Him gladly” (Mark 12:37).

What never ceases to amaze us is the awesome mercy of God. We are meant to follow His lead, not try to get Him to follow our lead. We need to ask, “Lord, what is it you are doing now?” It is really so simple! Our expectations are usually so low and so far out of alignment with Kingdom operations that we program and plan and fiddle and talk; and all the time the glorious demonstration of the name of the Son and the will of the Father is sidelined. There must be manifestation! There must be demonstration!

John 17:6 (ESV)
“I have manifested Your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.”

Manifesting His name is far more than giving a theological talk or singing a religious song. What a powerful move of the presence and purposes of God at the last night of ministry. Pastor Richard spoke a timely word that was also emphasized in Korea! The church has to move to the next level. We cannot remain where we are.

When it came time for ministry, around 100 people responded to the call of God. Believers genuinely want to change and move on with God. They just need a thrust in the right direction, a word in season from the throne of Heaven. As we were about to pray for the people, an Angel came and stood to the right at the front of the altar. This Angel had a large chain in his hand and indicated he was breaking it. This was an Angel of deliverance and breakthrough. As soon as he appeared, people started to scream out as chains and blockages started to break off their lives.

God comes to manifest His presence in His way. Sometimes He shatters all our perfected little theological boxes in which we think we can define God and His operations. We need to allow the program of heaven to take over. We prayed with the people and the Spirit of God touched hearts, but it was His agenda, not ours. Many ran to the altar, falling on their knees, face hitting the floor prostrate, tears streaming down cheeks and hands held high. Hallelujah!

We never thought we would see days like these. It seems as if there is a sharpening of the saints, a sharpening of senses to this spirit realm. The unseen realm is far more real than this physical realm. There was like a tangible snap in the spirit. Snapping chains that held people in bondage. God’s way, God’s time, God’s methods!

The message of the Cross remains the same, the call to repentance remains the same, the radical love of Jesus is proclaimed, the beauties of grace and mercy are proclaimed. What is different this time is the level of expectation and the desire to see God take over!

This year’s History Maker team to Hong Kong was a multinational nine-man team, arriving in Hong Kong on a Friday afternoon with soaring expectations of what God was able to do. Everyday for the next three days, we would make our way through a maze of human traffic. Down to the subways, the Mass Transit Railways (MTR) would take us across the breadth of the peninsula to Christian Glorify Grace Church (CGGC), which sits near the northern border where mainland China is. The meeting started at 8pm that night, with worship in Cantonese and English, followed by the team praying for the people. “Miracles are for you!” – Pastor Richard released the Word that night, and he urged the people that God was wanting to take them to the next level, that God’s people will be so anointed and so creative that the world would look to them for answers!

The next day was a sunny Saturday, and the youth of the church brought their unsaved friends up to a mountain camping-resort in the afternoon. There, every kind of sports facilities from rock-climbing to archery could be found. After dinner, the night meeting started with an indoor game and a short testimony. No sooner, we were roaring praises to God through an ancient sound system provided by the resort. These was followed by other short testimonies and presentations of drama and dance, tugging at the hearts of our unsaved friends – was salvation and abundant life found in Jesus Christ alone?

It was time for the preaching of God’s Word, and Pastor Richard shared about how his search for the truth led him to a face-to-face encounter at the age of twelve – he was drowning under swirling currents when Jesus appeared to him and pulled him out! After sharing a few more life-transforming encounters with the living God, he gave the call for the new friends to respond. From about more than ten unsaved, seven responded to receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour that night!

The presence of our Lord was thick as the worship team of CGGC ministered on Sunday morning. A skit was presented by the History Maker team, and Pastor Richard shared about God’s desire to bring a restoration of His favour into our lives.

In the afternoon, the church was mobilised to take the gospel to the street. The pedestrian street was like T-junction, and residential neighbourhood shops lined the sides. There, we set up booths for pedestrians to come and receive blessing. In the centre, we sounded our instruments, our voices, and danced praises to Jesus. But the new tool in this setup, was a stack of sticks with Bible verses, from which people would draw their lot. From rebukes to blessings, the verses drawn out by the individuals were accurate! This was a surprise to some of us, but clearly, the Lord’s hand was upon this evangelistic effort. The church shared the gospel to the people who came, and prayed for them. Within the two hours, many lives were touched, and four persons gave their hearts to Jesus!

Hong Kong was a colourful place, but History Maker Hong Kong 2010 was colourful with eternal purpose. We pray, that the History Makers of Hong Kong would not only shine among God’s people, but they would also shine the light of Christ into the world. May they be a people of God’s anointing and earthly rulership, bringing heaven into Hong Kong, for lost souls to encounter the one and only Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

Kairos Time vs. Chronos Time

Pastor Hakan Gabrielsson (Sweden) was the speaker at this year’s conference. His message to the people was that we should not miss the time of the Lord’s visitation! We can know the times and the seasons (1 Thess. 5:1-11). The visitation will happen when four timelines are converged: the timeline of nations; the timeline of the leader; the timeline of prayer; and the timeline of the Savior. All four timelines will converge to one point to make God’s kairos time fulfilled and His will come to pass in human history. Each individual has his own kairos moment. But until that moment comes God is preparing every disciple to do the very basic mandates from Jesus: A) Preach the Gospel; B) Heal the sick; and C) Cast out demons. If we keep our daily walk in faith with obedience, at the right kairos time of God, His promise will come to pass! Our chronos faithfulness is still important for the right preparation for the glorious God's time. God is faithful and we can walk in His purpose and will.

Another speaker is Pastor Steve Roberts (Australia) who preached that in this end times, God will release His signs on the earth (Acts 2:19). God restores His truth in His church at the moment of kairos time. Through human history, God revealed His will in each era of kairos time. And this kind of revelation of kairos moment will be released more often while we are living in the end times and nearer to the second coming of Jesus. The world is repeating all idolatry and sins of ancient Egypt: hybrids between humans and animals, or 'transhuman'. But God already mentioned in His Word that the end times will be like the time of Noah. We must be aware of what is happening around us and have an eye to discern not to be deceived.

Testimonies:

1) To see God’s promise coming to pass, we have to wait and hold on to His Word until the time God says, “Now.” There is a purpose of this God-moment. It is the season that my faith will grow in the Lord and I learn His faithfulness. There is a mission I have to accomplish through this season: preaching the Gospel, casting out demons, healing the sick. How I spend my chronos time for the kairos moment is very important and I will depend on God and thanks to Him. I will praise Him and never give up. Then His promise will surely come to pass in my life. I should not concentrate on the surroundings at God's time: financial, children, relationship problems. If I focus on that, I will fear and cannot overcome. But with the eyes of faith, I focus on the Lord. I trust the Lord and believe in Him. I believe the Kingdom in my life and I will do; preaching the Gospel, healing the sick, casting out the demons. I commit myself to the ministry the Lord gave to me. Through this conference my passion for the Lord has risen again. I declare that God's Kingdom will expand in my surrounding in Jesus' name!

2) This conference was very important for me to recognize the very encounter with God.
Just like the people in the Bible, God's plan and His will is done by Himself and He is the history maker. He is the same yesterday, today and forever, and is leading us to the end times. I just felt like I could catch a glimpse of His amazing story for all. Personally this conference helped me to look back on my relationship with the world, and to live for God in my daily life.

Reformation is a change of thinking, bringing back to the original design, amend that what is defective. Those are some of the meanings that you will find and that is exactly what the Lord was doing this year at the History Maker conference. With the new decade we believe God is doing new things in the church specially among the young people. That is one of the reasons that the Lord has impressed in our hearts to focus on reformation. It is to get this new generation ready for what God is going to do specially in the seven mountain that shapes the culture, church, business, government, education, family, media, arts and entertainment.

Even as we started to talk about the new things that God is doing, it began to take many confusions off the people specially to understand that God is not calling them only to do church ministry but that He is calling us to these different fields so that we will bring the light to the places that was handed over to the enemy.

As the calling is beginning to become clear, God also used the ministry team to minister healing and wholeness to the young people so they could walk more healthy. Seventeen churches and 150 youth leaders and pastors as well as teams and young people from India, Singapore and Finland were also represented.

After the conference, one young man who is very capable and didn't want to take any leadership came and apologized. He told me that he now wants to take leadership in the ministry. (Pastor Thilak)

“Deep Calls unto Deep” Psalm 42:7

Ps. Hanny Yasaputra (Australia) opened the conference by uncovering the journey that will be taken in the short few days that the participants will be together. He explored around the topic of “Deep calls unto Deep”; the yearning and profound experience of one seeking God at such a time and place. Rev. Philip Ong (Singapore) continued on at the next session and he wasted no time in exploring and elaborating the theme verse for two straight days. He started by challenging the participants to stretch whatever God has invested in our lives. The participants were not just filled with the teaching but were also strengthened by Rev. Ong's numerous testimonies. ‘Questions and Answers’ sessions were also held and the participants showed their enthusiasm by asking Rev. Ong questions from his own personal journey with the Lord to business questions.

Mr. Herman Prawiromaruto (Indonesia) then continued the rally by describing four levels of abundance: bag level, barrel level, basket level and barn level. The next subsequent two sessions were conducted with the assistance of Mrs. Fanny, who taught on the psychological development side of the matter. She discussed matters including how treatments received by a foetus and new born baby from their parents will affect the characteristics of the individual. Each session was followed by participants encouraged to ask the Lord to reveal their past and healing those areas that God revealed.

This year we have also been blessed by the presence of Adon and Life Tree band (Indonesia) that lead most of the praise and worship sessions. They shared their testimonies throughout their fellowship time with us and have tremendously blessed each participant with the talent that has been granted to them. The atmosphere was contagious as the presence of the Holy Spirit was truly felt throughout the praise and worship sessions, leaving worshippers just yearning for more of His presence. There was no doubt that every individual was touched and filled by the Holy Spirit throughout the conference.

Throughout the 4-day conference, the participants were greatly blessed spiritually and emotionally. Indeed, when God is about to use His people, He surely does equip and prepares them diligently. The testimonies shared were encouraging, empowering and life changing. Lives were touched, changed and saved! To our Lord Jesus Christ be ALL the GLORY! Amen!

POSTURED FOR REVIVAL

From across the nations, the family of History Maker came together once again, to urge each other to press on toward our upward calling in Christ Jesus. 2009 was fraught with challenges, but God had been ever faithful, and testimonies abounded from the pastors and leaders who came. A day before the conference, God was already ministering to the leaders, through His anointed servants Rev. Roberts Liardon (U.K.) and Ps. Shekhar Kallianpur (India), who shared the Word of God to these men and women of God.

On the first day of the conference, Rev. Roberts wasted no time defining Three R’s of the Move of God. There are two ways to study a revivalist – by what they say, and by what they do. And there are three ways to study a move of God – the refreshings (Acts 3:19), the revivals, and the reformations. A refreshing could be personal or for a church, and it would usually last one to two years. A revival would last for ten to fifteen years. Most people never make it to the next revival because they make doctrines out of their personal preferences (1 Cor. 12), and end up being resistant to God’s new spiritual emphasis and new style of doing things in the next revival. A reformation would last for a generation, between twenty to forty years, and its power influences every facet of society. Martin Luther the reformer, broke the back of the dictatorial powers of Europe, along with the erroneous teachings and unbiblical structure of the church. He paved the way to democracy, and revealed to all that the only way man shall receive life, was by faith in Jesus Christ alone (Gal. 3:11). Like Luther, a true reformer would not care if he were to die for the cause of our Lord. There is no secret formula to the move of God, but to simply find the promise, believe the promise, and confess the promise of God; until one day, it moves into a spirit over and in you.

The baton was handed over to Ps. Leonard Griffin (U.S.A.), who taught us about Seven Postures that Produce Revival – spiritual postures of prostration (Num. 24:1-4), kneeling (Eph.3:15), sitting (Eph. 2:6), walking (Eph. 4:1), standing (Eph. 6:13), running (Heb. 12:1) and dancing (Song 6:13).

By the evening, Ps. Shekhar showed us how each of us could proudly proclaim, “I’m Not Ashamed” of the gospel – for the gospel is salvation to everyone who believes, and the gospel is the power of God for every situation today (Rom. 1:16).

In our three days of conference, we were treated to many other sessions that were also anointed in teaching, lethal in preaching, and Spirit-led in ministry; by Ps. Aaron Wong, Ps. Sam Surendran, Ps. Amos Tsang, Rev. Paul Min, Ps. Wee Tiong Howe, Ps. Dam Suan Mung, Ps. David Park, Ps. Hanny Yasaputra, Ps. Naomi Nakama, Rev. Philip Ong, Rev. Larry Nelson, Steve Roberts and Rev. Hakan Gabrielsson.

On the morning of the second day, Rev. Roberts taught us about Staying Awake During the Revolution. Firstly, we need strong leaders in order to move forward (Judges 5:6-8). And when things are moving forward and working for us, we must increase in the things that we used to do that brought us to that point of spiritual birthing. During such a time, it is your responsibility and not God’s, to keep your physical health from breaking down. As you minister signs, wonders, healings and salvation to the masses during a spiritual revolution, you have to keep reading the Bible for yourself, confess the Word for yourself, and keep building your spirit – not for the masses, but for yourself.

Rev. Roberts continued in the night session, about Living in the High Call. The high call is the continual habitation of grace and tangible anointing upon one’s life, that has the power to affect the world. He taught us about praying in a way that gives us victory wherever we are – with an inner voice of authority, and with new tongues that can claim new territory (1 Cor. 12:28). We have to go from speaking, to declaring, to performing; and by enforcing chapter and verse, be taking new ground, binding the devil, building the church, raising the dead, healing the sick, and making money for the work of the gospel!

A History Maker conference is never complete without its prayer meeting at 5.30am; as it is often said, if there’s anything you shouldn’t miss, it’s the History Maker morning prayer! There were two prayer meetings in this conference, one on the 5th and one on the 6th of November. On the 6th of November which was the final day of the conference, the day started with a prayer meeting that concluded with the our hands laid on the flags of different countries; claiming the salvation of souls, and declaring the sovereignty of Jesus over those nations.

Later that morning, Ap. Richard Brown (Japan) declared, “No Risk, No Return!” He said that whenever God wanted to perform a miracle in our lives, He would so often put a demand on our resources. Jesus would wait until we have exhausted everything, and then say something like, “Why don’t you try this?” (Luke 5:1-10) Like Peter, we need to receive God’s Word as mandate. And when we step out in faith to obey, His Word will produce the thing for which He had sent His Word to accomplish! (Is. 55:11)

Upon reaching the last hour of the conference, Ps. Richard William brought us back to the heartbeat of God. He spoke of a “God’s Rambo” found in Matt. 11:11-13. John the Baptist did not seek to be great on earth, but he was called the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. To further illustrate, Ps. Richard highlighted some generals of God from Asia – Wang Ming Dao, Mama Kwang and Sadhu Sundar Singh. They did not fit the mainstream, they went through the most difficult persecutions, but they worked the works of God with power and authority, and brought the gospel to the world in ways unprecedented. Ps. Richard then told us a true story about a fourteen year old girl from Pakistan. This girl went to Christian meeting and got saved. She knew that her father would find out about it, so she kept reading the Bible and started sharing about Jesus to her friends quickly, for as much as she could. Three months later, her father found out about it. As she stood her ground for Jesus, her father beat her to death. But by then, this girl had already started a youth movement in Pakistan, stirring among her friends about who Jesus was. Within three months of knowing Jesus, this fourteen year old girl had already done far more than the average person who had been in church for years. Is something wrong with our Christianity? If you and I have missed God’s will for our lives in 2009, let us not miss it again – in 2010, nothing in my life shall overtake my commitment to sharing the gospel, and nothing in this world shall surpass my love and passion for Jesus!

Greater things are yet to come! Greater things are yet to be done in the city!

This was the last HM conference for the year before the annual Singapore HM conference. We were expecting God to move in a powerful way in all meetings. The team was made up of 22 Sri Lankan youths led by Ps Michel, Pastor Sian Loh from Hong Kong and the Singapore team.

The concert was going to be held at the Marine Center in Mumbai, the most popular pub in the city. Pastor Anil has invited the most cutting edge and famous Christian death metal band, “Blood Covenant” from Chennai and “New Hope Order” from Mumbai who totally love Jesus! The Holy Spirit again inspired us a whole new unconventional way to do evangelism i.e. to reach a group of young people through a Death Metal Concert! Totally radical and out of the box! So radical that most of the main stream may not accept such band and music. The theme of the concert was R.I.P. “It’s Never The End”. Ironically this is the trend amongst young people today. The lack of vision and purpose had led to place of meaningless existence. This is where History Maker totally fits in; we have been called to inspire vision and purpose in the midst of emptiness. Our passion is to call champions to radical living.

The music was so loud, so deafening that we felt our entire body resonating to every beat of it. Screaming the song, banging their heads, swinging their long hair, moshing their bodies (a kind of dance where they bang each other) were common practices in such concerts. In the midst of their “high”, there came a sudden dead silence. To the shock and horror of the audience, an actual coffin was brought to the middle of the stage. “What’s going on?!” exclaimed Pastor Richard as he got out of the coffin. He went on to share how our lives can suddenly be taken away in the midst of fun and excitement. Only through Jesus we can find true meaning and purpose in life because He is the only One who conquered the grave and defeated death.

Truly this was a new platform for HM Singapore. Stepping out of our own comfort zones and stepping into arenas that do not seem inviting but rather under the control and influence of satanic forces. Through the concert there was an engagement of warfare but “Glory to God in the Highest”, he won the victory! Although the crowd was rowdy, rude and rebellious but the spiritual atmosphere changed when the gospel was shared. After a few minutes of engagement, the altar call was given several young people acknowledge their desire to give their hearts to Jesus.

Every HM Conference begins at 5.30am for prayer meeting. It is the most important meeting for the day as God will begin to align everything we do with His heavenly plans. Here we wait to receive instructions from our Commander in Chief! On the second morning some of us rode on motorbikes and others on buses to pray at beach and by the park in Mumbai. Indeed greater things are yet to come! Greater things are yet to be done in the city!

Another highlight of the conference was having Pastor Shekhar Kallianpur. He has been the Senior Pastor of New Life Fellowship since 1985, six years after receiving Jesus Christ as his Savior. His message is simple and yet so rich in truth. The world does not need another religion, they need the reality of what they believe is true; and only Jesus is the way, the truth and the life!

“We do not want just a touch from God but an over flow of His Spirit” was the main theme of Pastor Richard’s message. He then took a bottle of water and poured it over his head to illustrate his point. If we WANT to go higher in God, we NEED to go deeper in Him. Many of us have reduced the Baptism of the Holy Spirit to speaking in tongues and remained powerless. Signs, wonders and miracles must be part and parcel of our daily living was the challenge given. Let’s not “play” church anymore. 100% of the delegates answered every altar call that was given in every session! There was such a passion and hunger among the young people. They want change! They are ready for change!

The dance and the drama teams from Sri Lanka were incredible! The audience was memorized by their creative aesthetic performances. Using a mozie can and a lighter to create a fire was bold and radical!

Other sessions were taken by Ps Michel who preached an uncompromising message provoking the youth unto holy living, and Sian Loh who preached prophetically on the calling of God. Disciple workshop was conducted by Pastor Kelly imparting a vision to the young people to disciple because “Christianity without discipleship is always Christianity without Christ” - Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

In true History Maker fashion, the conference ended with light sticks. The conference ended with a celebration of prophetic proclamation that India shall be saved! In the darkest hour, the light will shine even brighter for the glory of God!

Mumbai, capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra ranks among the most populous cities in the world in terms of population, with a city having a population of approximately 14 million inhabitants. A city renown in the world for infamous Hindi film and television industry, known as Bollywood. Mumbai is the commercial and entertainment centre of India, home to many important financial institutions. The leaders unanimously believe greater things are yet to come! Greater things are yet to be done in the city!

HM TAIWAN: 27-30 Aug 09

In 1999, the second-deadliest earthquake in the recorded history of Taiwan killed 2,416 people on the island. But God had prepared His servants way before hand, and a gospel crusade was held in the basketball court of a quake-damaged junior school a week after the earthquake. By the 3rd and final day of the crusade, over 2,000 young people had given their lives to Jesus! On that day, History Maker was born.

10 years later, the deadliest typhoon in the recorded history of Taiwan struck in early August 2009. A total of 461 were confirmed to have died so far and thousands were made homeless. But God had prepared His servants months ahead once again, and History Maker Taiwan 2009 was set to bring a new move of God starting from 27 August.

The ministry team was made up of Steve Roberts from Malaysia, Pastor Naomi Nakama and Eddy from Japan, and Pastor Richard William and his team from Singapore. Hosted by Church in the River of Life and led by Pastor Aaron Wong, the unique program of this conference scored another first in all of History Maker. There were basically 3 streams to the conference, and it all started up north in Taipei on Thursday evening. On Friday afternoon, Pastor Richard and team made their way to the southern tip in Pingtung; and Pastor Naomi and Eddy headed southwest to Tainan. All this while, Steve Roberts stayed behind in Taipei. On Saturday afternoon, Pastor Aaron Wong stayed on in Pingtung while Pastor Richard and team headed up to Tainan; and Pastor Naomi and Eddy returned to Taipei. And finally on Sunday afternoon, Pastor Richard and team, and Pastor Aaron returned to Taipei.

We have seen the History Maker of Taipei (Church in the River of Life) grow ever since we joined hands with them – from 10 over youth in 2005, to 50 over youth today. And the senior folks in the church were fired up for Jesus more than ever. In Taipei and Pingtung, some of the senior folks would praise God with such a gusto that would probably leave an average youth trailing in the dust. Over in Pingtung, we could see that some of the young people were truly seeking God with all their hearts during the times of worship and altar ministry. This being our second visit to Tainan from last year, we could see that freedom for the Holy Spirit to work was increasingly evident there. In all the places we ministered at, the people were so hungry for God. Whenever the altar call was given, the people would run to the front and pack the altar to receive prayer. In Taipei, at the Saturday night Youth Concert alone, we saw 43 young people give their lives to Jesus for the first time!

We believe that the natural disaster in Taiwan had further prepared the ground for the Word of God, and the hearts of the people of History Maker Taiwan received God’s Word with deep conviction each time. In quite a few cases during the time of altar ministry, we saw stubborn and ferocious demons being cast out in the name of Jesus. And during specific sessions of prayer ministry for individuals, our Lord never failed to release sharp and accurate words through his ministering servants, leaving those believers with a clear choice to take a step faith forward and breakthrough!

The aftermath of the disaster in Taiwan was obvious in places steeped in idolatry. They were pummelled by floodwaters of 1-storey depth, 7-storey buildings were felled and swept away, and mudslides of 5-storey depths swallowed whole villages. On the other hand, places with fervent Christian churches were virtually unscathed by the relentless Typhoon Morakot! Like Abraham’s servant who brought Rebekah to Isaac, we believe that God will give supernatural answers to the faithful who continue to plough in God’s work. Like Joseph who became the prime minister of Egypt after 20 years of slavery and imprisonment, we believe that God will raise them up in an unexpected hour, and lead many to salvation in Christ Jesus. Taiwan will be saved!

“SPUR ONE ANOTHER ON” (Hebrews 10:24) was the theme for this year’s History Maker Hong Kong/ Shenzhen. On Friday afternoon, July 24, the conference kick started with teams from Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and New York (Assemblies of God) going to the streets of Mongkok, a popular and busy shopping district, to do outreach and spread the love of Jesus Christ to locals and tourists. Our spirits were high and much excitement was in the air as we walked down Sai Yeung Choi Street. There we met with a Christian tourist organization that provided us with the gospel packages. Inside each bag were gospel tracts, CDs and lots of other information. We were then divided into 3 different groups; one group to sing praise and worship unto God; second group to do prayer walk around the area; and the third group to give out gospel packages and talk to the passer-bys. Many stopped to listen to us praise and worship God. That afternoon we distributed over 2,000 gospel packages in just 2 hours, the highest record ever!

We ended our outreach at about 7pm and proceeded to Joyful Harvest Fellowship for the evening evangelistic rally. A few of those we met at the Mongkok outreach turned up for the meeting, praise God! The meeting hall was packed as we started the praise and worship. This year the worship team consisted of Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong members. Even though it was their first time leading worship together, there was much synergy and unity that flowed from the praise and worship singing both English and Mandarin songs. Pastor Richard William preached on “Divine Guidance” from Genesis 24, challenging the congregation if they want to be world changers, they cannot live ordinary lives. Many responded to the call to radical faith, desiring to do extraordinary things for the Kingdom of God. The different pastors and teams then ministered and prayed for the individuals.

The next day early morning on 25 July, the teams from Singapore and Taiwan met at 5:30am for prayer. One of the trademarks of History Maker is prayer, a time of seeking the Lord’s face and getting ourselves aligned to God’s will and purpose for that day. We had an awesome time in the Lord’s presence, praying for the Spirit to move mightily in the conference and to bring about revival in the church and the city.

That morning Pastor Samuel Chu (Taipei) ministered God’s Word from Hosea 14:5-7. He encouraged the church to keep loving one another and loving the Lord for Him to do greater things in their midst. He also shared an incredible testimony on how he came to know Jesus and how the Lord turned his life around from a former gangster to a preacher now. Continuing the morning session, Pastor Richard shared on “Making a Difference” from 1 Samuel 14, calling the people to activate their faith so as to see God in action in their lives. The prophetic word released for the church was breakthrough is coming to God’s church and to believe it will happen now. We ended the session with praying for God’s strengthening, empowerment and anointing for the pastors.

In the afternoon we continued the conference with workshops on “Creative Outreach Methods” conducted by Hannah, Cheng Yao and Kell (Singapore). Held concurrently was a workshop on “Discipleship” conducted by Grace, Daniel and Angela (Singapore). The last workshop session was on “Dynamite Gospel” conducted by Pastor Samuel (Taipei). That afternoon we had a fruitful time learning from one another the different methods and strategies in reaching this generation and how to be more effective in extending God’s Kingdom. Everyone was so blessed and encouraged by the workshops.

That Saturday evening was our final session in Hong Kong. The crowd began to pack the hall by 7pm. The praise and worship team led the congregation in exuberant praise and heartfelt worship unto the Lord. Pastor Samuel Chiu (Pingtung) ministered God’s Word and shared his personal testimony on how God changed his life, bringing much encouragement to the church. Bringing closure to the meeting, Pastor Richard shared on “The Power of Surrender.” He challenged the people to lay everything down before the Lord so that He can do the impossible through them. Many young people came to the altar to lay down their lives, willing to die to their self and their desires so that they can have life in Christ. The people were so hungry for the presence of God. There was such a tremendous move of the Holy Spirit in that place where lives are being touched and transformed by the power of His Spirit. Truly one word from the Lord and our lives, our church and our city will never be the same again!

On Sunday afternoon, we went up to Shenzhen to have our History Maker Conference at a kindergarten. Pastor Samuel Chiu (Pingtung) shared God's Word, concluding with a time of prayer and ministry for the people. Later that evening we had the last session. There was much joy and exuberance in the air as the people lifted praise to Jesus and danced in celebration. Pastor Richard preached on David’s kindness to Mephibosheth; how the things we do in our generation will greatly affect the next generation. The Lord moved in our midst, touching lives and ministering to the various needs in that place.

Throughout the conference we experienced God’s mighty hand from the beginning to the end. It was amazing how God moved amongst His people who had a deep desire and desperate hunger for Him. We believe the churches in Hong Kong and Shenzhen were catapulted to a greater supernatural height. To God be the glory!

HM MYANMAR: 15-17 July 09

By God’s grace History Maker Myanmar was held in Strand Hotel, Yangon from July 15-17, 2009. The conference venue was located right in the heart of the city and in one of the biggest hotel ballrooms in Yangon. Many lives have been changed and renewed through past conferences and nevertheless the impact of this year’s conference will be greater than before.

Earlier the conference was almost canceled because the government did not approve of the permit. As we prayed and sought God’s hand upon this situation, the door was opened and God made the way possible. Truly the door that the Lord opens no one can shut it down. He is able to do all things even in the darkest hour and the gates of hell will not prevail against the church!

History Maker Conference is a non-denominational youth conference and participants are from different churches in Yangon and the outskirts. Last year 86 churches took part in the conference. Praise God we had participants from about 97 churches this year. For the majority it is their first time taking part in a History Maker Conference. About 600 young people attended the day sessions and more than 800 came for the nightly revival meetings.

This year our History Maker partners, Rev. Philip Ong (Singapore) and Pastor Hanny Yasaputra (Australia), were the speakers at the conference. A team from Bethany Brisbane International Church, Australia led in the praise and worship. Many of the young people were blessed and touched by the messages and workshops. There was a mighty move of God in all the meetings and even during the prayer time. Over 238 youth came to the altar to receive salvation and over 57 youth received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Let's continue to pray for the fire to keep burning in the hearts of the young people and for God’s kingdom to be greatly extended throughout Myanmar.

The great revival and transformation will come soon to Myanmar and the world will know that Jesus is alive. Myanmar may be one of the most difficult and poorest countries in the world, but with God all things are possible. Can you hear the footsteps of God visiting Myanmar? Myanmar will never be the same when He comes in glory and power!

“Called To Be A Worshipper” (Isaiah 43:21)

History Maker Australia in Gold Coast, hosted by Bethany Brisbane International Church (Pastor Hanny Yasaputra), began with powerfully inspired praise and worship led by History Maker Youth and Adon.

The faith, expectation and anticipation of what the Holy Spirit was going to do during this conference could be sensed from the very beginning. For the first time in a History Maker Conference, three advisors came together to release and impart God’s anointing on their lives into the participants. Apostle Richard Brown III, our HM Advisor, opened the conference with a message underscoring the importance of the worshipper’s role as “God’s Priesthood.” This message set the tone for the entire conference by challenging the worshippers to walk and live in their priestly calling.

Day two began with 6:00am prayer. Early morning prayer is a hallmark of History Maker Conferences and the HM Australia participants proved they were up to the task. Rev. Philip Ong, another HM Advisor, shared his tremendous passion and zeal for Christ through the Word of God and numerous personal testimonies building the worshipper's level of faith.

Tim Johnson and German Rodriguez (Okinawa, Japan) took advantage of every opportunity to teach and impart the importance of street evangelism and discipleship as powerful tools to be used for the Kingdom of God. The participants' hunger and thirst for more of Christ was rewarded with salvation, deliverance and baptism in the Holy Ghost.

Rev. Hakan Gabrielson, our HM Advisor, shared a simple yet powerful message about the importance of Jesus’ healing ministry, releasing faith for healing and deliverance.

HM SRI LANKA: 16-17 April 09

April 16 and 17, 2009 were days of transformation for 180 passionate young people in the nation of Sri Lanka. “UNLEASH” was the theme of this year's History Maker Conference. From the start there was non-stop action with awesome worship, powerful life-changing Word, fantastic dance and drama. The atmosphere was great and very exciting. It was all you can ask for and more!

To kick things off the ground, Pastor Mitch (Sri Lanka) spoke on Dedication, Devotion and Destruction. The youth were challenged with the story of Samson, how he took a jaw bone of a donkey and killed a thousand people with it. Likewise when the people of God get yielded, devoted and dedicated to Him, God will use the most unlikely things to help His people fight against the enemy and destroy its power.

Pastor Anil Alexander (India) then shared on walking into the destiny God has for us without getting distracted. He spoke about talking to your enemies but not entertaining them. Taking authority and walking in boldness is the key! Many young people cried out for a fresh wind and filling from the Lord as Pastor Anil ended his sharing with a song and ministry.

The evening rally started with Pastor Steve Roberts (Malaysia) shaking things with a presentation tied in with a song from Pillar. He talked about the things people do in the dark and also addressed the spirit of “whoredom”. It was a night of breaking heavy bondages attached to people's lives. As we moved into a time of ministry, people came out of their hiding places to the altar to receive freedom from hidden strongholds in their lives. The night ended with people experiencing breakthroughs and having such a real encounter with the living God.

The next day Pastor Steve went deeper to speak on the issues the young people are facing. It led to another session by Pastor Mitch who talked about hearing the voice of God and prophesying to each other in activating our spiritual gifts. In an act of consecration to the Lord, those who wore items symbolic of the occult gave those things up at the altar and dedicated themselves afresh to Him.

At the final night meeting there was great excitement, special lighting effects, smoke machines, plus the World Shakers team doing a dance item. Apostle Woodrow Blok (Sri Lanka) shared a powerful message on the Anointing and how we as believers should guard the anointing when we go out to the world. Ending the session and the conference, the pastoral team laid hands on the young people and released an anointing in sending them forth with a fresh fire, passion and impartation!

We believe that “UNLEASH” truly released the true History Maker Jesus in a greater way in the hearts and the spirits of the young people. We praise God for what He is doing and continue doing in the nations through this History Maker Generation!

The History Maker Conference in Palembang, Indonesia saw partners and their teams from various nations coming together to proclaim Jesus in an awesome and powerful way! We had speakers like Pastor Sam Surendran (Malaysia), Pastor Steve Roberts (Malaysia), Pastor Akira Momoi (Japan), Ester R.P. (Indonesia), Pastor Abraham Mathew (Singapore) and Pastor Richard William (Singapore). They conducted different sessions and workshops challenging the church to do greater exploits for the Lord and expect a mighty harvest ahead. The young people from Japan and Malaysia shared their testimonies, encouraging the people to hold on to God no matter what happens. As with all History Maker Conferences, the young people met at 5.30am for morning prayer everyday to seek the Lord's face for revival in the land.

On the Friday, the church divided themselves into four teams and went into the local high schools and universities to promote that night’s concert. Prior to the conference, the entire church was in a posture of fasting and seeking the Lord. God’s grace and favor was evident as they were granted permission to hold a rally convoy. With much excitement the church gathered along the streets of Palembang holding up flags and banners imprinted with words like “Jehovah Jireh”, “Jehovah Nissi” and many others. Countless people looked on as the senior traffic police officer escorted the convoy of motorcycles and cars through the city streets. It was such a glorious way to lift up and declare the wonderful name of Jesus!

Our host, Pastor Robert Lie, showed us a whole new unconventional way to do evangelism. The concert was going to be held at the biggest and most popular disco club in the city – Centre Stage – and this is the first ever History Maker Conference held in a disco club. How fitting is the name “Centre Stage” for God is about to take over and be the centre stage in people’s lives.

Over 400 youth gathered at Centre Stage that Friday night. The concert kicked started with a hip hop dance performance by a group called VIP Crew, followed by vibrant praise and worship led by the band. When the praise and worship ended, there came a sudden dead silence. To the shock and horror of the audience, people wearing ghostly masks and dressed entirely in black or "pallbearers" brought in an actual coffin and placed it in the middle of the stage. “What’s going on?!” exclaimed Pastor Richard as he got out of the coffin. He went on to share how our lives can suddenly be taken away in the midst of fun and excitement. Only through Jesus we can find true meaning and purpose in life because He is the only One who conquered the grave and defeated death. The altar call was given and more than 67 young people came forward to give their hearts to the Lord. Praise be to God for this remarkable result! The night ended with a celebration of praise for the new souls that had just been added to the Kingdom of God.

Truly, the church in Palembang has set a new standard for what it means to be a “church without walls.” God will surely raise them up to make a greater impact in their time and generation!

It is another exciting year for us History Makers as we step into 2009. Despite the global financial crisis, we believe this is an opportune time for the Kingdom to explode and grow exponentially. Nothing can stop God’s program. Nothing will stop His Church from going forward. There is nothing the enemy can do to stop hungry hearts from receiving God’s Kingdom!

History Maker Malaysia 2009 kicked off in the city of Penang at Excel Point Community Church on 27 Feb. This was also their missions emphasis weekend where members are again encouraged and challenged to obey God’s command to go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation (Mark 16:15), to support the missions vision of the church and to make a difference wherever they go. Many people began to fill the hall as the History Maker Singapore band started to lead praise and worship on the Friday night. The youth and many others were all excited and fired up as they jumped to the songs, with loud shouts of praise to Jesus going through the air. Hands were lifted to the Lord as passionate souls worshipped their wonderful Savior with all of their hearts.

Pastor Richard William shared on the power of surrender, challenging the people to lay down their lives so that God can do something to their lives that they cannot achieve on their own. “Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains along; but if dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life” (John 12:24-25).

The next day on 28 Feb, EPCC church members and the Singapore team came together at 5.30am for morning prayer. It has been a week of prayer and fasting for the church. Together we sought the Lord’s face and prayed for Malaysia, the government, the church and for individual lives.

Later in the morning we continued the conference with a seminar on discipleship. Pastor Kelly, Grace, Johan and Kenneth shared on the biblical principles of discipleship and the practical aspects of discipling. It was a heartfelt learning workshop with many encouraged to either disciple one person this year, or be willing to be discipled and grow in their walk with Jesus.

On that Saturday evening was the Saturday Night Live youth service, also the final session of the conference. The youth gathered in the hall by 6pm to pray and the Singapore team joined them in the prayer time. There was much synergy in the place as we prayed for God’s presence and anointing. Indeed, “how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” (Psalm 133:1). The crowd began the pack the hall by 7.30pm. The EPCC band opened the meeting with exuberant praise, stirring up the people with much excitement. The Singapore band continued to bring the people into the presence of God. Pastor Richard’s message that evening was on Ezekiel’s vision from Ezekiel 1. He challenged the people to give their hearts and lives to God and gave the call for those who would be willing to serve the Lord in the mission field. Many responded to the call and there was such a tremendous move and presence of God in that place. This was indeed an impactful conference and a great start to greater things God has in store for us in 2009.

History Maker India 2008 kicked off in the city of Mumbai on 7 Oct with church leaders from various places coming together and worshipping. They received God’s Word from Pastor Richard and Apostle Woodrow and prayer from the team. There was a deep desire to reach out and touch God. The presence of God came, ministering to many individuals that morning. There was an uplifting of downcast souls, a strengthening of hearts, and the Heavenly Father’s healing for those who were hurting. Such a time of ministry came at a right moment for these precious shepherds of flock and the clouds of gloom started to break up. It was a time to turn the onslaught of the enemy around!

It was God’s desire to move in the lives of His people and His presence continued to sweep into the evening session. Down at the Mayor’s Hall, the History Maker band screamed with electric acclamation. The young and the young at heart jumped to the beat of praise and they all cried out, “Rain down on me, rain down on me… Sweet anointing, wash me over.” Pastor Michel of Sri Lanka shared a bold testimony about how God changed his life. And the call was given that night, to come forth and be transformed by God: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

The momentum did not wane the next day. The History Maker team was at the backstage before the meeting started, praying for God’s breakthrough in India. That morning, Apostle Woodrow shared about how he was called back to Sri Lanka from a comfortable life in the United States. His church planting movement faced intense persecution for years. But with each radical step of faith he took, he overran the enemy. Addressing the congregation, we have to lay down our personal burdens at the feet of Jesus before taking up His commission and run! One by one, the people stepped forward and laid their burdens down before God. As they cried out to Him, His fire fell upon many, and spiritual deliverance took place for those who needed the cleansing. That morning session stretched all the way into the afternoon and it seemed like nobody wanted it to end. The people proclaimed aloud the Word of God prophetically over the city of Mumbai and all of India. Something broke through in the spiritual atmosphere that day. We all looked forward in anticipation for the final night of the conference.

The congregation doubled its size by evening. The band from Mumbai led praise to Jesus in rhythm and dance. The band from Singapore rocked exaltation to our God; nothing could compare with the sweet presence of God that was there. Pastor Richard preached on Gideon’s army of 32,000 against an enemy of at least 135,000 by conservative estimates. But the Lord said to Gideon, “The people with you are too many…” (Judges 7:2) With God’s unique brand of mathematics, He brought the size of Gideon’s army down to 300 – God could only use soldiers who were 100 percent committed! Pastor Richard took the message home that night – a 90 percent commitment to God was as good as a man having 6 days for his wife, and 1 day for an extramarital lover! Many were convicted that night, ready to lay down their all for Jesus. Yes, that was just what India needed – a man who would be willing to lay down his life for the sake of the gospel so that the nation can be saved!

The History Maker conference in India did not end there. We headed for Navi Mumbai the next morning. When we arrived at Jubilee Church, it was almost like Sunday. The ushers were at the door welcoming people and the place was packed! From Mumbai to Navi Mumbai, we saw that the Christians were ready to lay aside their burdens and worship God with their whole being. In spite of the persecution that was going on and no matter how they were feeling that day, they were just ready to surrender to their Heavenly Father. And at the end of that day, the History Maker call was given – are you ready to die for Jesus?

It was not a mistake that the History Maker conference was brought to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. As the people of God step forth in faith to reach their city for Jesus, a place like Mumbai would no longer merely be known as the financial capital of India, but a forerunner in India as a centre of revival! As the History Maker team left Navi Mumbai and headed for the airport, we saw the pagan processions thronging the streets. But we knew in our hearts, that if the church of India were to stand firm in Jesus, the procession of Life would one day confront the parade of death on the streets, and stay “Stop!” For the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it! (John 1:5)

Japan, Osaka: 25-29 September 08

This year’s History Maker was a very significant change as it was a major step of faith to the second largest city in Japan. We had History Maker Japan at Okinawa for the past two years. We believe that through the leadership of Pastor Naomi Nakama and the prayers of many faithful believers, God opened this city for a visitation. This year’s conference was different from the past. The whole conference was organized by the Japanese team Fire Typhoon that is led by Pastor Naomi, whereby the Agape Church and the History Maker Singapore Team acted as supporting roles. As it is our believe, in order to nationalize a movement the locals must catch the vision and take ownership of their nation. The city of Osaka is filled with so many temptations of the devil. One of which is the famous Pachinko Slot jackpot machine outlets which can be seen at every few minutes walk. Japanese ranging from young and old are all indulging in this form of gambling. As the History Maker Team walked down all these entertainment areas, we prayed that the light of Jesus will enter and bring down all these outlets.

The Conference was held at Kansai Bible Institute, whereby the History Maker Team is required to take various types of transportation, including cable car to reach our final destination which is at the top of a mountain side. Standing at this high attitude also depicts that God wants us to glance down from top and witness with our own eyes that this whole city needs transformation. John 4:35 says “they are ripe for harvest”, hence God needs his people to go and reach out to the lost souls.

The 1^st day conference was stirred up firstly by Pastor Richard’s sharing in the Morning Prayer meeting at 0530. Subsequently, the intensity and passion of fire in the Japanese was built up by Pastor Steve and Apostle Brown, before Pastor Richard stepped up again in the evening and bring a closure by preaching on changes in ourselves to see results, getting out of our own comfort zone. The move of the Holy Spirit came upon all the young people when the altar call of dying for the sake of Jesus is made. Matthew 16:24-25 “For whoso

ever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it”.

Everyone was then allocated accordingly to 4 different churches for Sunday service the following day. It was a great experience for the History Maker team to see how the churches in Osaka are doing their part in fulfilling God’s vision of reaching Japan.

The last night was the first step of revival for Japan. More people streamed in and have an expectancy of witnessing God’s presence again. Indeed God did not disappoint his people. The move of God started even before any altar call was made. There are some who were weeping and rolling around on the floor.

A true demonstration of how the hand of God was upon the young people in Japan, a nation which thepeople do not reveal their own emotions easily. When Pastor Richard ended his preaching by making an altar call of passion of salvation for the lost souls in Japan, many ran to the altar and knelt down weeping as the power of the presence of Holy Spirit struck them. After the prayer, everyone was ignited with the fire of God in them and rocked the building with the name of Jesus being declared continuously. Pastor Naomi then wrapped up by reaffirming the calling of God that everyone received. What an explosion of the impact of God in this place, where the lives of young people are going to change because of Jesus. We believed that there will be rising of leaders among the young people to mobilize the whole nation to see the revival of Japan. No longer churches have to be conservative, but marched out to the streets to proclaim that Jesus is the key to salvation and the way to heaven. Revival for Japan is on its way. A conference that started on the mountain top ended with a commission to march into the valley and see our cities transformed by the power of God. Glory be to God.

Taiwan: 21-25 August 08

Our partner HM Taiwan is no stranger to anyone for their fervency for prayers, extreme hospitality & their passion to plant 128 churches. This year, we were also invited to minister in the Southern part of Taiwan, Tainan. The host was Pastor Philip of Grace Hall Baptist Church.

As Pastor Richard was supernaturally directed by the Holy Spirit to address certain challenges that were being encountered at Church in the River of Life. At that point we knew that God had brought us at such an important time to minister to the body of Christ. God restores, heals and strengthens his church.

Friday morning we traveled 4hrs on a coach to Tainan. Tainan is located in a very special and strategic place of Taiwan. It was where the first gospel came into Taiwan and where churches were first planted. That explains why some churches have been there for more than fifty years & some even a hundred years. We had the opportunity to pray at a high ground where the Taiwanese worship the idol Ma Zu ( 妈祖 ), the supposedly guardian of the sea whom guards the gateway. We prayed and proclaimed God’s hand upon that location, that the gateway of heaven will open and revival will pour into the city.

The church itself was located just opposite one of the leading universities in Taiwan, National Cheng Kung University which currently serves more than 10,000 students. Such a great fishing ground for the church for the harvest indeed is plenty. The church is also surrounded by shopping malls and streets where young people hang out. The young people in the church were challenged to go out there and get those lost souls for Christ.

On the 3^rd night in Tainan, a challenge was put forth to them. A challenge for those who are willing to make that sacrifice and to see revival in Tainan, a challenge to make their everyday life count for Jesus and to change the nation. The altar was filled with people weeping for their nation. God’s presence was so strong in that hall & everyone was being ministered by the Holy Spirit. Lives were changed & we knew that history will be changed because of those hearts that are for God. A new generation of history makers was unleashed in Tainan. Praise the Lord!

Sunday morning we traveled back to Taipei. Despite the tiredness of our physical body, the spirit of the team was high for the Lord indeed has done such a remarkable work in Tainan. During the Sunday service, Pastor Naomi shared about a rebellious 13 year old girl who has been transformed by the Lord and has changed her world. Japan is truly ready for revival. The Lord is already starting to do something in the hearts of the young people there. There was excitement in the hearts of everyone present.

Pastor Richard shared at the Sunday noon service on what it means to be a God chaser. Numbers 14:24 “But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring him into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.” Caleb did received his inheritance in the promised land as recorded in Joshua 14: 6-15. Caleb followed God with all his heart and was rewarded for his obedience. This is the question that was thrown to us: Are we wholehearted in our commitment to obey God? Or have we allowed something else to take over that commitment to God? Are we really a God chaser or are we a world pursuer? Like Caleb, we must be faithful to God through our entire lives. We must never allow ourselves to rest on our past accomplishments or reputations and He will give us the promised land.

Praise the Lord for History Maker Myanmar 2008! Our God is a God of the impossible, only He makes all things possible!
On the 2th-3rd of May, Cyclone Nargis hit Myanmar, causing HM Myanmar 2008 to be impossible, but God opened the doors for this conference! The meetings were held at Excel Treasure Hotel where over 600 young people from 84 different denominations and churches came together.

Many anointed ministers preached God's Word in power and anointing. We had meetings for the entire day and our revival services only ended at 7pm. We also learnt new songs and had workshops on dance and drama, sports, bible class, song writing and singing that were led by Sangpi and Nawnaw.

Sia Mungtawng, Sia Kim Pau (Singapore) and Sia Zaw Lin Aung (Tawnggyi) took the main sessions. They preached with the Holy Spirit's anointing. God spoke through them and touched many young people through His Word. On the last day of the conference, over 700 young people came together to worship our Almighty God. All the youth were so happy and encouraged by the praise and worship and God's Word. God was truly with us and we received victory by the power of the Holy Spirit!

During the conference the Holy Spirit's power and presence rained down as we cried out to God for a great revival to sweep across the nation. Many young people made a decision to lay down their lives to serve God while many others received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues.

We had no money for this conference and no opportunity for the crusade but God opened the door for us--He is so good and faithful. God provided for all our needs, praise be to Him! We want to thank History Maker International Church, Singapore for starting this fire in lives of the young people. Every year we see this fire grow bigger and brighter, impacting our homes, churches, cities and nation. We praise God for our senior Pastor Rev. Dam Suan Mung and his family; they are people who love God and have such a heart for the youth in Myanmar. To God be the glory; He truly is mighty to save!

HISTORY MAKING This is what History Maker is all about! History Maker USA was the first ever History Maker conference held outside of Asia! The atmosphere leading up to this conference was expectant, we were expecting God to show up and have total control over everything that happened.

"Radical for Jesus" was the theme carried throughout the three days. Each morning began with a 5:30am prayer meeting, in that meeting God gave us direction for the day. Pastor Richard William (Singapore), Pastor Leonard Griffin (Phoenix, Arizona USA) and Pastor Jeremiah Owens (Dallas, Texas USA) teamed up for this History Making conference,They challenged us in our faith, and showed us what it means to be radical for Jesus. They each preached with the fire and passion in their hearts that comes straight from the heart of God. This conference was not about numbers, the spiritual atmosphere of the youth in Phoenix was shaken and a deposit was made in the spirit. God is now doing a new thing!

Musicians from all across the city came together to worship God for these three days, their skill was met with fire from Heaven. As we entered into worship God's presence was ushered in and He met with us. Leaders from several different churches came and taught afternoon workshops. Each one had a very specific message from God to share. Pastor Richard gave a call to die, a call to die to our flesh. Young people came forward in total surrender to God, they committed to do whatever it took to follow Him.

In true History Maker fashion, the conference ended with light sticks. The light sticks were placed at the altar, and each person was challenged to come forward in surrender and take their light. God's presence came in, and it was felt by everyone there. Those that been reaching out for their breakthrough received it... Those who had been thirsting for a fresh touch were quenched... Those who had been hungering for fresh food from Heaven were fed... The simple truth was that God showed up, and He made Himself available for anyone who reached out to Him.

God is on the move in Phoenix, and we're already looking forward to next year's History Maker. But this deposit that has been made is going to bear fruit. Now that we've received such a tremendous outpouring, we can't keep it to ourselves! God has called us; we will go and make history in our nation! Will you answer His call to you for your nation?

“History Maker should focus on the major cities in Indonesia”, was the suggestion that came from a History Maker partner, Pastor Hanny Yasaputra when Pastor Richard was ministering in Brisbane, Australia. It has always been a HM philosophy; if it is God’s will He will open the door. Then suddenly one morning a call came from Pastor Hanny and the rest was history! God indeed has been orchestrating the entire arrangement, it was a set up! The door is open for us to go to Bali, a name more famous than Indonesia itself!

Pastor Timothy Arifin, Asia’s “Greg Laurie” equivalent, a phenomenal world class leader who pastors a church of 6,000 people, planted 120 churches all over Indonesia; with endless incredible miracles in building the R.O.C.K. church and being one of the biggest movements in Indonesia has kindly invited a nameless, faceless bunch of people to bring revival to his young people. What humility! What a spirit he carries! There is always a deeper, greater, higher and further work the Holy Spirit can do. We sensed that this conference may probably be the most phenomenal this year. But is the team ready for such a platform?

This year we realized that every nation which we have been thus far is an entirely new city for history maker; Penang, Hong Kong, China, Bali, U.S.A., and not forgetting Thailand, Mumbai, Osaka and South Africa; they are all are new cities! God indeed is doing a new thing in our midst and opening new doors for us.

Bali's wide variety of attractions, the physical beauty of the island, and the year-round pleasant climate make Bali a place regarded by many visitors as the "Ultimate Island"; the most enchanting travel and holiday destination in the whole world. We know that we are not going there as a natural tourist but as a spiritual ‘arsonist’, to set the young people on fire!

Pastor Naomi Nakama from Japan started the first night session with an altar call for people to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit! She totally shocked all of us and did something that is so out of the box! Guess what? Many young people responded without hesitation! Talk about anointing! What is even more incredible is she went to Bali knowing that she has no interpreter! Tsukae Matsuda with her limited English, tried to interpret and Pastor Yosi who will in turn translate it into Bahasa. What a sight to behold. There was so much synergy and anointing flowing among the three of them, it was simply unbelievable!

“Do you have an upper room?” “Will you inconvenient yourself to get a hold of God?” “Have we stopped hungering for more of God?” set the tone for the second night meeting. Pastor Richard preached up a storm like never seen before; stirring the crowd with his incredible testimonies and tearing down every form of tradition issuing a challenge to have a fresh encounter with God. The Word of the Lord came so clearly that night; the longer we walked with God, the more we should keep our relationship fresh.

The next morning we have three workshops running concurrently. Pastor Robert Lie from Indonesia and Eugene Leong led the Youth Leadership workshop, while Pastor Cin Kim Pau from Myanmar and Josiah Khoo tag the workshop on Evangelism. The workshop on Discipleship was done by Pastor Kelly Koh from Singapore and Derek Tan. We are discovering more than ever there is a great need among the body of Christ to be actively involved in one on one evangelism and discipleship.

On Saturday, the finale night, it was the most awesome meeting. God has been building up their faith expectancy through viewing all the three night videos of pass History Maker Conferences. They have caught something in the spirit realm; a vision bigger than themselves. A call to die for Christ – the central message of every conference, brought more than 90% of the crowd to the altar, crying, wailing and broken before the presence of God. The atmosphere was electrifying and the anointing was so thick that you can literally cut through it! Many were drunk in the spirit; Pastor Richard could hardly stand upright to pray for them. People were piling on top of each other when the power of God hit them! It was by far the best respond and result from any history maker conferences.

Is God doing a work in Asia? Believe it, He is! In a nation primarily dominated by Muslims and Hindus, He is raising up a formidable, radical end time army who is willing to dispossess everything and be completely at His disposure; ready to die for Him.

As a result of the Holy Spirit breakthrough we believe the cities in Indonesia is going to be impacted in a powerful way. To God be the glory!

A NEW HEART FOR HONG KONG is the theme for our very first History Maker Conference in Hong Kong/

China

. There were 13 of us in the History Maker team. We started off the conference with a visit to Ma Wan Island, which is a 30-minute ferry ride from the main island. The highlight of this island is the building of “Noah’s Ark”. It is very significant in the history of Hong Kong in that this is the first Christian icon of such a huge size and magnitude to be ever built. Our prayer is that Hong Kong will not be known for Ocean Park, Disneyland or Giant Buddha but Noah’s Ark—a symbol of God’s redemption and salvation plan. What an incredible testimony to the world! In the ark we worshiped God and prayed prophetically over the city. Indeed, many will run to the ark to receive God’s grace and mercy in the midst of darkness and judgment—Hong Kong is to be the spiritual gateway to Asia!

Our first session brings us to Joyful Harvest Fellowship at Jordan, Kowloon. Jordan means “watering-place, to descend” and this will be the place where revival would break out. God’s mighty presence filled the place and the Spirit came upon the people, empowering believers to be radical for Jesus wherever they go!

Later in the afternoon we went around the Yaumatei neighborhood to do street evangelism. It is an area popularly known for prostitution, drugs, gangsterism and all sorts of vices. We gave out gospel tracts and flyers, inviting people to join us for the concert that night at the Yaumatei Community Center. Almost one-third of the crowd that night was unbelievers from the community. The Holy Spirit moved and touched many lives. When the call was given, many people came forward to the altar to receive salvation, healing and deliverance. Praise God!

As with all History Maker trips, we got up early for prayer the next morning. This is our most important meeting of the day—a time to align ourselves with what the Holy Spirit wants to accomplish that day. Our morning kicks off on a high note with two sessions on “Are you a History Maker?” and “Prophetic significance of this hour”. Again the Spirit moved in the hearts of the people, stirring them up to greater passion and commitment to Him.

After lunch we had two workshops; one on evangelism and the other on discipleship. Later we had to get ready to go to Apex, the top floor of the 75-storey high Central Plaza (second tallest building in Hong Kong) for another night concert. It was a whole new experience to worship God at such a great height. The hearts of the young people were filled with excitement as they praised the Lord with all of their might. The Word of the Lord came so clearly that night: the Church has to remove all forms of distractions and get things right with God. God’s anointing flowed in the meeting. Many answered the call that night to lay down their lives for the cause of Jesus Christ. The altar was filled with young people with a passionate desire to give their all to Him.

After Sunday Service at Joyful Harvest Fellowship, we got on the KCR train, traveled up to Shenzhen, China, across the Lo Wu border, to minister at Pinghu Church. Initially there were just some people in the hall but slowly it was packed to the brim with young people, full of expectancy and eager for the Lord to touch them. They raised their voices in one accord to worship God—such genuine love and devotion to the Lord you can hear from the way they worship. Many of us shared our testimonies. The preaching of the Word was accompanied by the miraculous. The anointing of God was powerful and evident. Even though we could not go around to lay hands and pray for people, many received their healing by the power of the Holy Spirit. Indeed, nothing is impossible to those who believe. This is just the beginning of what God has started in the city of Hong Kong and China. We believe that the best is yet to come!

LAMPUNG, INDONESIA: 28-30 APRIL 2008

We experienced God’s mighty hand from beginning to the end of the conference, demonstrated when the permit for Pastor Sam Surendran & Steve Roberts to speak in the outdoor stadium met with some trouble but was finally settled. Some witches that were unhappy about this conference started to send their power & witchcraft, but Praise God nothing happened to hinder us from encountering God throughout the conference.

It was amazing how God worked in the midst of the people of Lampung who had such a deep desire and desperate hunger for Him. The 3 night’s crusade was held in an outdoor stadium called “Taman Enggal”- a place surrounded by prostitution, witchcraft & occultism that turned out to be so beautiful when The Presence of The Lord came down.

The History Maker team consisted of 27 people from Palembang, 5 from Jakarta and 4 from Penang.

We started the crusade on Monday night, 28 April 2008 with the message of salvation. Around 700 people attended and many of them received their salvation & got delivered. Everyone was amazed & blessed with a prophetic dance performed by 50 dancers from different churches in Lampung.

Another thing that really moved our hearts was how God saved one man that night. Pastor Robert Lie interviewed the man who came to the front in response to the call for salvation. He was an “Angkot” (public transportation in Indonesia, usually a mini van) driver that was hired by someone to drop them off at Taman Enggal (crusade venue) and he was moved in his heart to come & see what was going on. God touched his heart and he, a former Muslim, came to accept Christ as his Savior.

The afternoon workshops were focused on strengthening and encouraging the Pastors and Leaders in Lampung to bring about unity and anointing to do greater things in His name.

In the youth & musician workshop, the young people were encouraged to stay hungry before Him in order to see His presence more and more and to impact their generation with what God has given them. They were equipped to be radical for His Kingdom!

On the 2nd night, around 800 people came and Pastor Sam challenged the people to know more about the source of Salvation & Miracles, Jesus Christ. Those who came also got a breakthrough during praise & worship and expressed their love to God. They were so deep in worship that God’s presence overwhelmed the entire place. Many intercessors received visions of God and His angels dwelling in His people’s praise.

The challenge for Lampung on the 3rd night was to be radical and die for Christ. Pastor Robert preached the message of History Maker’s mandate, that God is calling His people to be a history maker and that it’s not about us but Jesus Christ, the true History Maker.

Over 1200 people came on the last crusade and more than 200 young people ran to the altar and committed to give their lives for Christ and many wept for their city.

Pastor Robert also invited the pastors to come to the front and hand in hand, they prayed for Lampung.

The city of Lampung will never be the same again.

COLLIDE- Held at Overcomers Church, Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka on the 18th and 19th of April, the History Maker Conference was a supernatural collision of the heavens and the earth, hence the theme “Collide”.

Featuring speakers such as History Maker International founder, Pastor Richard William (Singapore), Rev. Philip Ong (Singapore), Pastor Keith Ferreira (Sri Lanka) and Steve Roberts (Malaysia), Collide 2008 was the venue in which the Holy Spirit was able to impact over 170 youth and leaders from 17 churches from across Sri Lanka and move in their lives to elevate them into a new level in the supernatural.

Collide 2008 featured life-changing sessions by the above mentioned speakers that broke mind-sets and prepared the youth present to impact Sri Lanka, especially in the area of missions. By sharing their own experiences and giving the youth stronger foundations to prepare them for the mission field, many youth and youth-leaders were prepared to impact their schools, workplaces and their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Also featuring powerful worship to the King, dance items that reflected worship and hip-hop genres, workshops (missions and drama) the conferences were power-packed and climaxed with intense rallies on both evenings, where the participants were challenged, imparted into and ‘apostolised’ (sent out) to impact the nation like never before, taking the good news into their cities, towns and villages with new cutting-edge strategies and battle plans. As the battle-cry was given, many accepted the challenge to defy the works and plans of the kingdom of darkness and establish the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in the schools, the marketplace and the nation of Sri Lanka.

A NEW START, A NEW BEGINNING- It is one of the shortest yet most powerful conferences to date. This trip to Penang was an eye-opener to many of God’s mighty power and sovereign hand. This is a new start and a new beginning for

Malaysia

The trip to Penang was in many ways a pioneering work. It marks History Maker International’s first trip to Penang in the archipelago of Malaysia. Also, this trip had one of the biggest, if not the biggest delegation from Singapore, a first for many of our young members. With a strength of 31 from Singapore, aged 15 onwards, and others from Indonesia and Sri Lanka, we went forth for this trip with great expectations. Coupled with our excitement were feelings of nervousness and uncertainty on what might result from such a short trip. If all Penang was going to be is just another “good” mission trip, then all the prayer and preparations would have gone to waste. 2008 is a new year and we expect not just another “good” mission trip, but one that changes the very fabric of history – hence History Maker Conference. How ironic it would be to expect anything less than changing history after holding a conference with such a name.

In any case, we kicked off the conference with a night session expecting a huge crowd based on the size of the hall. Unfor tunately there were only a handful of people, but when we ended the session, everyone present felt challenged and excited, wanting to claim dominion that God has given us after the preaching by Rev. Philip and Pastor Richard. However, there was a tingling sense that we’ve only scratched the surface of what God had in store for us. As a result, we prayed and interceded for God’s river of revival to overflow its banks. Many of us prayed through till about 2 a.m. despite having prayer the next morning at 530 a.m. We were desperate to see the full measure of the Holy Spirit’s power move and take control without any inhibition!

Having pumped in ample prayer, everyone was geared up for the morning session on discipleship. Whether or not it was because today was the actual day of election where everyone had to vote, once again we experienced a small turnout. However we did not allow ourselves to be disheartened by the numbers. Instead we gave our all and a variety of speakers took stage to share and illustrate the model of discipleship, something that is crucial to the existence of History Maker.

All this time, Pastor Robert and his team from Palembang, Indonesia was ministering alongside with us in the Bahasa services where language wasn’t a barrier for them. There was such a passion in them that Didi, an Indonesian youth extended his testimony sharing from 10 minutes to 25 minutes! He would have continued if he was given the opportunity to. Such was the level of fervency in the Bahasa services.

Somehow in our spirit, we knew that God was planning something really powerful for our final night session on Saturday. Pastor Michel from Sri Lanka rallied and challenged the large crowd with testimonies from his country, paving the way for Pastor Richard who preached up a storm like never seen before. There was such an overflow of God’s anointing in the hall as throngs of young people answered the call that night to lay down their lives for the cause of Christ. There was such a mighty move of the spirit that few were left standing and having tear-streaked faces were found all over the hall. There was such an intensity in the atmosphere that only the power of God could have provided.

Just as we thought this was the end of the night before majority of us return to Singapore, we were all taken aback by the events that followed soon after. Pastor Sam from Penang announced that he received news of the elections that ended at 5 p.m. earlier in the day. Their prayers for change for the country have finally been answered. There has been a major upset in the political arena of Malaysia in this general election. Penang, traditionally considered a stronghold of the current government, lost to the opposition. Such a major political upset has not happened for years in Malaysia’s history. As Pastor Richard shared, “Political leaders can be replaced by God, but spiritual leaders are only released by Him!” Penang is about to see a change in their country’s leadership, but more importantly, the spiritual leadership is about to rise and take their rightful place.

History Maker International conference – it is a time for change, a time for making history indeed. Reflecting back, this trip brought to mind two other trips we had gone on before. The first was our maiden trip to Sri Lanka. Similarly, we started out with a tiny crowd for the first two meetings, but ended off with a life-changing experience for numerous lives. Till today, Sri Lanka has never been the same ever since the vision of History Maker was carried over. The fire and passion is still going on strong and reverberating throughout the nation of Sri Lanka because of the obedience of an insignificant group to go forth and spread the radical call of giving our lives to Jesus Christ. The second trip which was brought to remembrance was the first trip to Nepal. During our visit there, there was a shifting in the political arena and the history of Nepal would be changed forever. Nepal began to experience a new start as the last Hindu monarchy in the world collapsed.

This is what History Maker conference is all about, making change and creating history wherever we go. It does not matter which country goes, be it Singapore or Indonesia, Sri Lanka or Japan, the Holy Spirit remains the same! God wants to bring change for nations all over Asia and beyond, but He is looking for someone to answer His call. His call may not be easy, but one thing we have found out after going for so many trips – He enables those who obey, regardless of age or experience, to bring change to those who hunger and thirst for Him.

What a way to start the year with such a trip! Penang has set the standard for 2008, so watch out Asia, because God is about to alter history wherever His Spirit goes!

Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth…” True to His Word, God has done a new thing in Okinawa, Japan during this History Maker Conference in 2007. No longer will Japan be known as the missionary’s graveyard, nor will it be said that Japan is a hard ground where the move of the Holy Spirit is difficult. Now, it can be said that revival is coming to Japan, or rather; revival has come to Japan in the tiny island of Okinawa! This is what the Japanese have been praying for a long time, and the time has come for them.

After flying over the entire night, the History Maker team was raring to go and rock the place for Jesus. We were full of expectancy and energy at the beach where the rally was going to be held. As the time drew near, we were once again reminded to be faithful with whatever little God places into our hands. Before our very eyes consisted only a handful of people, and the same question reverberated in everyone’s minds - is that all we have? Undeterred by the lack of numbers, the worship team gave it all we had and praised God as if there were hundreds of people around. It was a sight to behold as God revealed His faithfulness and the crowd started to throng in as the sun set against the beautiful seaside. As always, any sort of preconceived ideas about how a Christian rally should be done was broken as there wasn’t any sort of “formal” preaching. Instead, the Gospel was presented through music, drama and testimonies from various local youths. All Pastor Richard had to do was to sum up the entire night session by giving the opportunity for anyone who needed a miracle or a touch from God and the response revealed how hungry they were for a touch from heaven! In fact, despite the rally having gone on for almost 4 hours, it seemed as if no one wanted to leave! There is something happening in the atmosphere…

Like the previous year, the early morning prayer meeting in Okinawa is unique. It consisted not just of the team from Singapore, but many of the local delegates as well. It was during this prayer meeting where we started to see God do a new thing in Japan - there is a new proclamation for this nation. There is no mistake because God always gives us direction in the prayer meetings, and this time is no exception. The prayer meeting closed powerfully when the youths from Fire Typhoon Organization were prayed for by everyone present, empowering them for what is about to take place in Japan. Pastor Steve and Pastor Richard later preached up a storm during the final session in the evening, but what really stood out was when Pastor Nakama from Fire Typhoon Organisation be the first to respond to the call given at the end of the meeting. The call was a hard one - being ready to give up your life for the cause of Christ. Tears rolled freely as people counted the cost of following Jesus and being a history maker for Him. It is no wonder why revival has come to Japan when you see the number of people kneeling at the altar. No longer living for themselves, these history makers are ready to lay down their lives to see revival hit Japan like a flood!

As the trip to Okinawa drew to a close, God did something very symbolic during the youth night gathering we had with the youths. Although there were no pastors nor preachers that fateful evening, the Holy Spirit ministered to the youths in such an intimate way, we know for a fact that something has changed on the inside of them. They have seen first hand how God can use young people with no special qualifications to impact and touch the lives of their peers. Armed with the same vision and passion, a group of them will leave for Osaka the next week, ready to stir up a storm and see God impact that place. We ended off praising and jumping so passionately that some of us almost hit the roof literally! When the presence of God is so tangible, it results in such freedom and liberty that nothing else matters except praising God with every ouch of strength in our bodies.

Many of us felt an earthquake during the Sunday worship service and the tremors caused eyes to be alert, ready to take action should it get any worse. While we are prepared for a natural shaking, are we ready for a spiritual earthquake, a spiritual shaking that is to come in every nation as time draws near? Will we be aware and alert to what God is doing in these last days? The Holy Spirit is sweeping throughout Asia and the rest of the world, stirring up the hearts of man to rise up to answer God's call. What has taken place in Okinawa these 3 days is but a fraction of the revival that is to sweep across all nations. D.L. Moody put it so aptly "The world has yet to see what God can do with and for and through and in and by the man who is fully and wholly consecrated to Him. I will try my utmost to be that man." Can we, as history makers, proclaim likewise?
